21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA Dec 12, 2005 Golden yellow color to this brew. Aroma is huge on bananas. Big spicey body, lots of peppercorn. DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 12, 2005 Updated: Jan 20, 2006Really tasty, fun, less-hoppy tripel, with a gushingly enthusiastic carbonation so watch out! Really nice balanced bready sweetness. Holsten (7), Copenhagen K, Denmark does not count Dec 12, 2005 Nice, light unfiltered appearence, fruity aroma, lovely yeasty, sweet and fruity taste. Long aftertaste. Very good beer! Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 12, 2005 Bottle: Poured a deep orangey and slightly hazy color ale with a huge foamy head with excellent retention. Aroma of spices, malt and Belgian yeast. Taste does include a large dose of spices and honey with a dry finish and slightly funky yeast. Body is above average and carbonation is excellent. Still haven’t had a bad beer from this brewery. Commodore (112), Ontario, Canada Dec 11, 2005 5-piece box set from St. Bernadus at LCBO. Poured a murky amber with a frothy white head. Extremely smooth going down. Aroma is not overpowering or off-putting. Excellent taste of spiced fruit. Not as heafty as I would like for a winter beer. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 3, 2005 Blonde ale with a thin white head. Oxidized spicey malt aroma with gin alcohol. Light sweet malt dryish, with light coriander and oxidized cardboard notes. Creamy and medium bodied. Dextolen (151), Michigan, USA Nov 27, 2005 Poured a hazy gold, with a white head, some lacing. Bready/yeasty aroma. Flavors of malt and sweet & spicy fruit. Alcohol revealed in the hot aftertaste. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA Nov 22, 2005 Bottle. Pours a cloudy bright orange color with a pillowy off white head. Quite fragrant, floral, notes of honey, caramel, pear, pale malt and Belgian yeast. Nice melding of the flavors, you get ample amounts of honey, yeast, spice, and malt. Creamy mouthfeel even with the abundant carbonation, medium to full body, very drinkable. Top notch tripel. Thanks mds for the bottle.
