Commercial Description:
The aroma of this beer is agreeably gentle and is carried by a discreet bitterness while the balance between the malt and hops relies on fruity accents and a lightly fresh aftertaste.

Blonde ale with a thin white head. Oxidized spicey malt aroma with gin alcohol. Light sweet malt dryish, with light coriander and oxidized cardboard notes. Creamy and medium bodied.

Poured a hazy gold, with a white head, some lacing. Bready/yeasty aroma. Flavors of malt and sweet & spicy fruit. Alcohol revealed in the hot aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy bright orange color with a pillowy off white head. Quite fragrant, floral, notes of honey, caramel, pear, pale malt and Belgian yeast. Nice melding of the flavors, you get ample amounts of honey, yeast, spice, and malt. Creamy mouthfeel even with the abundant carbonation, medium to full body, very drinkable. Top notch tripel. Thanks mds for the bottle.

Bottle (330ml). Very yeasty aroma when it popped - as it sat unpoured, it was out-foaming a bit as it sat. Poured slightly hazy gold with a big white lasting head. Aroma is yeasty-malty fruity (ripe navel orange) - a little over the top, but appealing. Taste is caramel and fruit sweet, very yeasty and moderately peppery and spicy. Mouthfeel is fairly lively - almost candyish, certainly sticky. Could be a little better blended, but maybe with age ... certainly no complaints here, I like malty Belgians!

Hazy orange color with a medium head. Very yeasty aroma with a mix of pine needles. Bitter taste and some spices mixed in with the expected hit of yeast. Not my favorite style, but one of the better ones I’ve had.

Bottle from St. Bernardus gift pack. Very cloudy yellow-orange with a good sized snow white head. Very nice aroma - notes of yeast, orange, butterscotch & shortbread. Flavour is full and sweet, lots of malt, hints of pepper & spiciness, with a yeasty finish that has some citric bitterness. Not an overly complex beer, but a solid and enjoyable one.

Tasted in Toronto. 33cl. Tasted in Tulip. Appearance is very cloudy / yeast suspended yellow, thin white wispy head. I can count the micro-chunks of critters in this one. (Which is ok by me). Aroma is of biscuits almost short-bread like, some caramel present. Flavour is very yeasty, malty with large toffee like sweetness and yet a big and bright cirtusy finish.

Pours neat amber-copper ale with large white crown on top. Sweet juicy malt with substantial yeast character, soft Belgian spice behind. Orange peel feels the sides. Filling palate ale, yeasty with more spiced character, soft malt blended with alcohol at finish Very late hop bitter accent can be found .rather simplistic Belgian triple but well make nether less.
