12oz Bottle: Not a bad experience at all. Iím not usually a tripel fan, but this was quite pleasant. Plenty of sweet fruity undertones follow a slightly dry nit-too-boozy finish. The nose was a bit under-pronounced, but it was poured into a pint glass, so not necessarily the brewís fault. Included in a 6pk selection featuring mostly St. Bernardus, I thought this really stood out on itís own for what I had expected to be an unimportant "extra" in the selection.

Bottle BB 2015. Golden orange, highly sparkling with a very big foamy white head. Looks pretty good, like tripels tend to. Smell - sweet malts, candyfloss, slight grape juice and that generic spicy yeast character that many of these beers have. Body is medium, foamy. Carbonation is a bit spritzy on the tongue but not as much as the sparkling appearance suggests. Taste - sweet and malty, biscuity, the alcohol is quite prominent in the flavour but mixes in really well in the dry aftertaste. Not much else to report about the flavour. Overall, this is a solid, if unspectacular, tripel.

33cl bottle. Pours murky orange with a big, but fast diminishing white head. Citrus, yeasty, and some sweetness/honey in the aroma. Flavor is spicy, light bitterness in the second part, oranges, some very light notes of chocolate(??). Carbonation is soft. Nice mouthfeel

Two finger length head. Hazy yellow orange glow. Very smooth champagne like carbonation due to bottle conditioning. Vanilla notes with a touch of caramel fruit tones.

Excellent tripel, perhaps best fresh when purchased in Belgium itself--lovely bright carbonation blends well with a bit of fruit on the hops and a yeasty, alcoholic, deep finish

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fles gedeels met bryanvdv, typische Belgische tripel, aan de zoete kruidige kant van het genre. Licht gebrande mout met beetje hop, kaneel en suiker in de geur. Smaak neigt naar appeltaart alcoholwarmte.
