[on tap in Cincinnati airport] Almost clear copper with a thin island and ring of head. Caramel and subtle diacetyl aroma with a touch of US hops. Average american pale ale for flavour: nice pine/citrus with subdued crystal malt and limited fruitiness. Medium to light body with moderate carbonation and a lingering bitterness.

Hop aroma is the best part of this beer. Unfortunately the rest is not so great. Over the past year the quality of EVERY WB ale has severly suffered. There’s a problem in every beer this brewpub offers. I had a sampler recently and every beer suffers from the same defect. It’s either an infection in dirty beer lines or their yeast is producing a powerful off-flavor: Diacetyl. It’s distinct in this and particularly their Amber. I dislike even writing this because the beer scene in Cincinnati suburbs is POOR at best. I want WB to survive. I hope they are reading these reviews. Recently closed down due to not paying taxes. Not sure if it will re-open or not.

Pale amber color, low tight head. Toasted malt, off taste that’s slightly veggie-like. Fairly big hop bitter across the whole mouth. Drying effect at the end with a lingering grassiness. Medium-thin body. Not very good, but probably the best one they offer.
