Nov 6, 2005 Light toast-like nose, dark clear brown, low tight head. Roasted malt, tobacco, coffee-like bitter end that’s woody at times. Thin and unbalanced. Just roasted flavors with no body to support it or hop character either. Disappointing.

Aug 17, 2005 I’m surprised that this is a porter! I would rate it as a dunkel. LIght, roasted grain flavor with a slight chocolate overtone. No head (it was served by a waiter, they have a tendency to fill the pint glass to the rim at the expense of the head). It was flat. It had a nice hop finish. I wouldn’t go back for another one.

May 23, 2005 Draft at Watson Bros. under the same name. Dark brown with medium dark head. Aroma medium sweet with chocolat and roasted malt. Flavor same with coffee tone and medium finish. Medium body. Good brew but more like a English Strong Ale.
