COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Pours hazy amber color with small foamy white head, sweetish hoppy aroma, low carbonation, slightly metallic bitter hoppy taste, thin body, longish finish with bitter aftertaste. Reminded me of a cough syrup.

This smells pretty good, citrus hops mostly. This is quite tasty. Lots and lots of hops, by far the most I’ve had in a Brazilian beer, far more than their IPA even. A really aggressive finish a sell. Excellent.c

Bottle at Delerium Cafe in Rio de Janeiro. Golden amber, very hazy, off white head. Lots of sweet caramel malts, tropical fruit hops, moderate bitterness. This is like a doubled recipe of their APA, except they seem to have forgotten to double the hops. Not bad though.

On bottle at Empório Alto dos Pinheiros - EAP, Sao Paulo. Powerful aromas of hops and caramel. Medium/full body & medium/high complexity. Some immediate sweetness- good balance. Very enjoyable

12 ounce bottle purchased at Mercado de Ponta Negra in Natal. The aroma on this is metallic and spicy with hints of juniper, too. Strange. Almost an infected character, too. Light floral sweetness is also present. Pours a murky, hazy copper color with floaties present. Medium cream-colored head present, which is fairly strong. Starts with a fairly strong caramel maltiness, before this becomes rather harsh, resinous, and bitter later on. Grassy and herbal hop flavors are pronounced. Some ethanol is also present. Also has a touch of oxidation, which is unfortunate. Actually, this is much better than I was expecting.

[5407-20130530] Sample. Mild orange wood roasted malt aroma. Slightly hazy, brown orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter orange grains and booze in the flavour. Medium body. Tasty. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4+

300ml bottle, pours golden brown with a small head. For me, an unusual, but very nice honey malt and caramel backbone. Spicy flavours in there and the finish is dry and balances well and drinks very easy. So easy that I’m surprised its 8.8%. A great introduction to Brazilian craft beer.

Boa cerveja, aparência decente, sabor agradável com um bom amargor. Nada de excepcional, mas é decente.

In short: A sweet blonde IPA that is also fruity-refreshing. Good.
How: From a bottle at Montreal Mondial 2013.
The look: Cloudy dark-orange body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose is like a freshly baked loaf of bread completely soaked in fresh fruit juice (all existing fruits, not just citrus and tropical fruits). Taste surprises by its sweetness. Caramelized apples, sweet breakfast fruits jam, sugary bananas, other fruit-related sweet flavors. Bready and yeasty. Some dry-grassy and floral notes but the hopping is mostly on the fruity side. The refreshing character of the hop profile makes this excessively sweet IPA surprisingly drinkable. I liked this beer. Another good beer at the Mondial beer festival, another festival that keeps getting bigger and bigger, and if we keep consuming craftbeers at the present rate, craftbeers will be extinct by the year 2018, it’s just science people.
