imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Mar 4, 2007 Cask conditioned at The Dragon Inn, Worcester. Dark brown, ruby beer with malty head. This was a sweeter type of stout for me and silky smooth on the palate, there is a pleasant fruity note running through the beer with hints of plum and apples. Dark roasted notes appear at the end with a rich liquorice flavour, quite moorish and good to get a dark beer in a town of Golden Beers. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Dec 30, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense) at St Albans Beer Festival, September 2006. Dark in colour, but that’s where the good bits end. There’s a very odd chemical note to the aroma that continues into the flavour, overpowering the burnt malt, and anything else for that matter. Metallic tang in the mouthfeel. Something wrong here I think. A re-rate may be necessary.
