Schroppfy (1724), Ohio, USA Mar 21, 2008 Dank, stanky, herbacious monster. Drippingly resinous. Intensely tangerine (suggestion of Summit by Jay!). Not the maltiest of IPAs by any means, this is hop city. Super fruity.
bgburdman9 (708), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 28, 2008 An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma of floral hops and malt. A light malty flavor that was pretty smooth overall. acrdz (4148), Pennsylvania, USA Mar 23, 2008 Updated: Apr 8, 2008Excuse me while I gush. I’m still talking about this beer. Sharp, spongy, gooey, dank, damp, herbal, green, wet, damp, I’m running out of words. Smells like a mash of fresh cut lawn clippings, cannabis and mint leaves. The taste HOLY HELL it’s the ickiest of the sticky, it’s insanely bitter, biting and drying, it’s coarse... no shyness at all, just a full force assault of everything hops should be, supercharged bitterness and harshness "balanced" by a chewy, dank, resinous quality. My senses were somewhat "amplified" at the time I drank this, for the record, so that probably had a lot to do with it, but I don’t care, because this beer fucking rocks. argo0 (6019), Washington DC, USA Mar 22, 2008 (growler, thanks Schroppfy) Lightly hazed light amber body topped by medium off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, cat urine, light bread. Taste is mild sweet, grapefruit/pine, light cat urine. Quite bitter, unbalanced. Medium-full body, some resin. kmweaver (1813), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Mar 21, 2008 Growler, courtesy of Schroppfy. Thanks, Michael! Pours a slightly hazy, orange-red color; fluffy light-tan head with excellent retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Pleasant amounts of soft earthy bitterness in the aroma; biscuity and earthy malts behind. Medium-to-full: sticky earthy and citrus malts upfront; chewy, slightly viscous malt core; shows its English, earthy character pretty well, nothing harsh or overly bitter; not quite balanced, but heavy on both sides. Lengthy finish, showing earthy and mineral bitterness, earthy malts, and plenty of dry bitterness.
