A good pale ale this place was packed. Obviously one of.the better spots in Asheville. Great outdoor atmosphere.

really easy to drink if not all that interesting. much prefer the iron rail but this is well balanced with some interest in the finish. pours a bit lighter than my "ideal" apa and somewhat hazy. taste is refreshing- guess I was expecting more with canadian malt being involved........Not bad, not great.

Beer #21 Asheville trip. Pale orange, slight haze. Nice aroma, grapefruit, slight pine, touch of biscuit malt. Flavor is a match. A very well done APA. Bit of a spicy note comes through as it warms - I now see that it used some rye, so that might explain this. Really liked this.

From tap. Pours clear golden w no head. Aroma was thin and earthy. Taste followed with a thin profile and soapy mouthfeel. From brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught at the brewer, this pours a deep straw orange into the glass, with a fully dissipating fluff head that ends leaving trace lace. The nose is of hay, straw and country silage, nice. Citrus and nice bitters to the tongue, mingling with pale malts, everything in harmony. A touch of saison farmhouse notes in there, closing on a lightly peppering bitter finish. Somewhat medium bodied, yet lively on the palate, it makes for a great afternoon summer quaff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Barnyard, grassy aroma. Light gold color. Thin body, yeast and hops in the flavor. Smells hoppier than it tastes.

On tap at the brewery. Mostly clear copper color with a small white head. Not much aroma really, just some caramel malt and citrusy hops. Slightly sweet caramel malt base with citrusy resinous hops and some cereal grains. Dry and crisp with a bitter finish. Decent pale ale but not a highlight among all the beers here.
