UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 Poured an opaque brownish-black on tap with pillowy tan head and moderate lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, booze, and mostly raspberries. Taste follows, a little heavy on the fruit, but it hides the booze in the flavor. Definitely decadent, but pretty damn good.

Beer 25 Asheville trip. Hey, and the last one from Wedge, Golem, ended up being #2800 for me. Appropriate that one of my favorite brews from one of my favorite brewers on the trip came in here. Also nice that this one here was one of my favorite brews! Poured black as night. Aroma was dark but not bitter chocolate, a light hint of espresso, and a touch of raspberry. Flavor is a match. The raspberry shines through on the finish - fantastic fruit flavor, but definitively a supporting note in the beer, which is just how I like it. Fantastic beer.
