Summertime Wheat Beer. In the traditional wit bier style. We use at least 50% raw wheat berries in addition to barley. Slightly hopped and flavored with coriander and orange peel. Very refgreshing and unfiltered.

Tap at brewery in Asheville with commonmac and rosskyle and samadouche. Spicy nose. Citrus, crisp, grain, wit spices, thin body, refreshing. The spiciness dominates, but it’s well balanced. Good beer.

Sampled on tap at the brewery (5/22/15). Nice Belgian wit aroma with lemon, coriander, and grains of paradise. Spicy with sweet esters. Hazy blonde-amber with thin head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice spicy wit profile, herbs and citrus. Clean finish with wheaty spicy after.

Pours hazy, opaque golden with a thin eggshell head. Aroma has wheaty, lemony and yeasty notes. Refreshing flavor has a wheaty core that supports lemon, malty and yeasty tones. Firm body has fizz to spare, and leaves a wheaty and lemon finish. Sharpen your wits, and bottoms up!

Tasted on 7/28/12 on draft at the brewpub with Erika. Pours hazy golden with a thick white head that leaves average lace. The nose is classic wit, with creamy wheat malt, plenty of orange peel, and some spices. The flavor is quite creamy with wheat malt, lightly bitter orange peel, and coriander. The body is nearly full with a creamy texture, average carbonation, and a long creamy orange peel finish.

My Bottom Line:
Coriander and orange peel ride this Witbier proudly.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the hazy pale blond.
-This brew leans on spices a bit too much for my tastes.
-Mild herbal hop bitterness works well with the coriander.
-Mouthfeel is lean and drinkable.
-These guys can do Belgian styles quite well even though they are an American brewpub serving from the tap only.

On tap at the brewery taproom.

A hazed pale blonde wit with a thin white head. In aroma, nice classic fruity malt with light cloves, banana, eugenol, pleasant. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with banana, cloves, esters, nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

Draught at the Wedge, Asheville, NC. Hazy yellow colour with a tiny white head. Strong coriander aroma with some wheat, mild yeast and mild fruitiness. Great. The flavour is mild fruity hops, spices, coriander, wheat and mild yeast. Very refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aromas of wheat and citrus float up from a unfiltered straw hued pour. The taste is wheat, orange citrus and notes of Belgian yeast. Medium light body and moderate carbonation. An enjoyable "midday" beer consumed at the brewery.
