Just an average beer. Not much of anything, just a slight bitter taste.

argo0 (10382) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 4, 2002
Pours a deep amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is strongly caramel. Flavor is watery caramel, with some German-style bitterness carrying through to the swallow. Decidedly bland.

As the description says, slightly malty and toasted; quickly dissipates though. Decent, but not much flavor. It has a little nutty/malty bite, but it doesn’t last long. I was a little disappointed, especially after reading about their strong ’Bavarian’ influence.

Elwood (2491) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 8, 2009
Serving: Draft. Appearance: Nice copper color with a small white head. Aroma: Malty nose with hints of cardboard. Not very inspiring. Flavor: Malt, alcohol, notes of grain, cardboard and a strong acridic bitterness. Sounds great, don’t it! Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long, acridic finish. Overall: I am getting less and less impressed with this brewery by the beer. Skip this one too.

16.9 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Golden-red color with a thin head that disappears quickly. Faint fruity and grainy aroma. Tart and nutty taste with fruity notes. Possibly infected.

Colour is a very rich amber with a thick light tan head. Large malt aroma with some hints of spice lingering in the background. Thin bodied, almost like water with almost no taste. Some malt is evident later on in the taste, but almost no hops are present. Not even close to the style on this one, and a big disapointment. From the colour and the smell I figured I'd at least be able to drink this beer...but this is pretty bad! I got this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia, but I'd suggest you not to do the same.

maniac (3474) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 15, 2008
Bottle on 07/15/2008. Very slightly hazy copper amber body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet nutty and grainy aroma. Sweet nutty and grainy flavor with a bit of sour green apple. As I further sip on the glass, the infection becomes more clear, this is getting kinda rough, and I’m fairly disappointed. Medium body with moderate carbonation, but a bit harsh to drink.

scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 8, 2008
Bottle - Amber, fizzy white head. Big aromas of sour caramel toast. Flavor follows suit with nutty sourness and grains. Clearly infected (just like the weizen I had too). Light bodied and thin with a sour metallic finish. This place needs some serious help....
