3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I bought 6 of this in OBX, May ’06’. After spending 3 hours taking out old microwave/rangehood and installing new one. I was ready to down a refreshing beer. I 1st squeezed a little wedge of lemon in my Weisbier glass, then poured this in on it to create a large foamy head that smelled of lemon. It was great smooth and refreshing.

12oz bottle. Poured a golden hazy color with a small white head. A light grainy wheat, citrus and clove aroma. Taste was smooth, clove, banana, coriander and oranges. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Low carbonation with a moderate body. A better Weeping Radish.

Tastes like somebody soaked a bunch of bananas in yeast. Very tart and yeasty, with a light hoppiness. Very pretty cloudy pale yellow-white with a great creamy texture. Mixed all together, it’s sort of like a banana split in a glass. Very impressive.

I poured this one into one of my weisse glasses. That revealed that this was a little small (not 0,5 l), was a little too clear and a bit over-carbonated. But other than that they captured the style. Big banana and clove aroma, bananas and oranges in the palate and the sour yeasty taste.

Not enough substance. Not fair that I drank a Herold Hefe before this one. Watered down American wheat. Not exactly a craft brew... more like a beer that would be found at Kraftbrua in Kalamazoo, or Harrisons near Chicago. (boring brewpub selections made for the masses)

Draft at the 2005 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Poured a hazy yellow with a appealing white head. The aroma was of banana, clove, and light citrus. The flavor was banana, earthy with some hints of citrus. Light, smooth body.
