22oz bottle, poured into a stemmed lager glass. Pours a dark gold with a luscious off-white head as a capper. This froth retained well, leaving bits of lace clinging to the glass. The nose on this one is very "green" and vegetable-like. Mild herbal aromas with a touch of fruit on the finish. Moderately carbonated beer with plenty of zip where it matters. Crisp and clean. Flavors of sweet apples, green leafies, and a mild hop presence make this beer a refreshing treat. Light bitterness, and light alcohol make it accessible and satisfying. This beer gives credence to an otherwise sub-bar brewery.

Draft at the brewery The Kolsch poured a clear golden color with an off white head and lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malts. Medium body with average carbonation. The flavor was crisp and clean. It was the best of the tasting. I purchased a can. Just an average beer.

16 oz can. (Chip’s Wine & Beer) Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. The aroma is citric acidity and sweet caramel malt. The flavour is absolutely horrifying... malt, wort and citrus. Really bad. I though it would be nice to drink some OBX beer while here in the OBX but it was a mistake...

16oz can. Poured a clear yellow color with a small white, fizzy head. Aroma was crisp lager notes, some floral hops, light malts. Flavor was clean, crisp. Pretty tasty compared to many of the reviews.

22 oz. bottle. Clear light amber color. Caramel malt taste with a smooth finish. Good beer for the price!

6/9/2010. 22 oz. bottle bought at a local grocery store. Golden yellow with a white head. Malt and light fruit aromas. Seem a bit watery and lacks flavors.

Bottle. Clear light yellow gold with a small whit head. Slightly sweet malt aromas with hay and a cream corn note in the aroma. Flavor is quite odd while being sweet, almost in a malt liquor kind of way, and there is a bitter and slightly sweet-sour finish. Light body and very fizzy.

Lightly flavored with no strong aromas or notes. Almost like a watered down fountain lemon-lime soda. No attitude in this beer. Grassy smell. Good for summer drinking, which is why it is probably called OBX beer.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Draft. Dark gold color, white head. Aroma of grass, wheat and some light lemon. Medium malty body. Not bad, went well with my seafood dinner.
