3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A pale golden coloured, slightly hazy beer with a frothy white head. A light hoppy aroma with lemony citrus fruit, floral and a hint of fresh cut grass. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a slight sweet, biscuity malt flavour, which is soon matched by a citrusy, grassy hop flavour that lasts into the finish.
Tasted at the Weihenstephan Bräustüberl, Freising.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Weihenstephaner Bräustüberl
Pale blond color, just hazy, with compact head. The aroma is mild but elegant, there is some malt and hints of noble hops, not very persistent indeed. Decent malt flavor, with a round mouthfeel, and relatively strong bitterness. Balanced.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2012 Note: first the unfiltered pils was set as an alias to the bottled pilsener. According to Johannes Weis from the brewery, they are of course different. In the Bräustüberl you always get the unfiltered version.
