A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Much lighter appearance than I thought I was going to get. Pleasantly surprised great Oktoberfest taste with a lighter after taste than most. Feels much more drinkable than most ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice aroma of noble hops and pils malt. Flavor: very mild. Not much of the nuttier, toastier notes I’m used to for Oktos/Märzens. Slightly grassier and hoppier than normal for the style, though not enough to be a standard pils. Plenty of carbonation. A decent, drinkable light beer, just not a standout or great representative of the style.

Clear golden with huge frothy, white head. A ton of carbonation with very little lacing. Aroma is very grainy and earthy with a bit of honey and some hops. Taste is something interesting. A little bit of honey and malt with a very dominant grainy/earthy flavor followed by a decent hop presence.

The body has a bright gold color with excellent clarity and some visible carbonation. On top it forms a tall bright white head of tightly packed foam. The head has good retention but makes very little lacing. The aroma has equal parts bready and nutty malt with fresh floral hops. Its medium body has balanced mix of bready malt with nutty and light honey like sweetness backed up buy floral/botanical, almost grassy hops. The finish is quick and refreshing. It just begs for another sip.

Pours a clear darker amber color with off-white head. Some hop notes, a little pine, but more caramel malt and bready notes to this; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a toffee note.

A really good Marzen. Stumbled upon this in March thinking it shouldn’t even be on the shelf. Glad I did! A really smooth lacy and mellow brew. I love a good marzen and this one is just that!

12 ounce bottle. Soft malty aroma, nice clear golden appearance. Assertive caramel malt flavor, with a slight bitterness at the end. Hint of spiciness towards the end after several sips. Very clean palate that is a touch thicker then your average German oktoberfest. Good oktoberfest when Hofbrau is not available.

Bottle. Pours a Clear light yellow colour. Aroma, has a sweet grassy aroma. Taste. A slight honey taste is present, followed by Herbal flavours and some very faint bubble gum flavours. Overall. A great beer, and unlike alot of other lagers doesn’t have to be drunken ice cold.

500ml bottle into a mug; served cold. Aroma: Honey and bread-y malt. A little pale hop aroma. Nothing too fancy, but not bad at all. Appearance: Lightly hazed, bright yellow body with a foamy, slowly dissipating, white head. Light lacing. Taste: Big malt presence, but it’s not heavy. Kind of toasty, a little bread-y. Just a bit of hop bitterness on the very end. Palate: Light body, low carbonation, medium length on the finish, which ends on light hop bitterness. Overall: A nice Marzen. Mild enough flavors make it easy and approachable. I can’t take anything away from this beer, it’s pretty nice.

On tap at McNellies South in Tulsa 24 oz glass A - Golden straw colored with a creamy white head. Seetles nicely into a solid cap. S - Bready yeast with a hefty malt profile, various spices, wheat, light fruits, apples, peppery noble hops. T - Hefty wheat and pilsner malts, spicy yeast, coriander and hints of cloves, very bready, with a nice fruity/orange sweetness. Honey bread sweetness holds up but finish slightly grainy with a nice crispness. M - Thicker feel for the style, full feel, low to medium carbonation, smooth in the middle with a crisp finish. This is a hefty Marzen. Various spices mixed in with light spicy hops to balance the honey sweetness. Not quite what you typically look for style wise but tasty nonetheless. Serving type: on-tap 09-15-2013
