A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

330cl bottle. Appearance: Crystal clear yellow with a light white foam head. Aroma: Bready malt with a strong floral, spicy hop aroma. Taste: Light, bready malt with a spicy, moderate bitterness. Very similar to a Helles, maybe slightly more on the bitter side. Mouthfeel: Light body with a brisk carbonation. Hint of alcohol warmth in the finish. Finish: Bready, spicy hop flavors linger after the swallow. Overall: Very similar overall to the Weihenstephaner Original Helles. Bitterness is slightly more pronounced and there is a touch of alcohol warmth not found in the Original.

On tap at Brewhouse Gallery. Served in a pint glass. Paler than I expected. Clear golden, like a pilsner. Smells like pilsner malt too. Light breadiness. Taste is sweet and fruity. Bread is secondary and only comes through in the back end. Medium light. Medium carbonation. Not really what I was expecting, but ok.

Sweet light and grainy. A light Oktoberfest that is drinkable and pleasant enough.

(From 2012 notes in Bavaria). Sparkling clear golden (a la pilsner). White head leaves exceptional lacing. The aroma features light bread and malt with a touch of earthy hops. The taste largely follows the smell but with a more substantial hop note at the finish that lingers on a good while. M: near medium body; notably clean O: no flaws is this session beer; the finish is the strong point.

A slightly sweet märzen with a medium yellow body and a nice white head and impressive lacing. Slightly earthy smell with hints of spice. Taste is crisp, hoppy with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Nina’s Mini Market. Crystal clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain, freshly cut vegetables and a faint hint of banana. Flavour of lemon, grass and cereal. Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Simple and clean. Very drinkable for the ABV.

This was poured into a mug (correct/traditional glassware, screw that proper glassware bs). Anyways, the appearance was a clear yellow color with a big transparency about it allowing a light carbonation rising to fill a light one finger white foamy head that dissipated nicely. Light rings of foaminess stick nicely. The smell had a big "corn-like" sweetness rolling into sly grassiness. There’s a sweet corn-like aftertaste and a semi-dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a purely awesome sessionability about it. Smooth creamy bliss rolls over my tongue. Overall, best Oktoberfest I’ve ever had. Smell and taste are right on spot. This is what every brewer hopes to brew for the style. Weihenstephaner does it again.
