A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2014 This beer is quite photogenic thanks to its golden body and fluffy, white head. This Oktoberfest smells like barley and hops. The taste is surprisingly understated but has smooth grain notes and refreshing, clean hops. This is a beer that wants to be gulped. While not as flavorful as other brews in Weihenstephaner’s shining inventory, this is still an extremely satisfying lager.

500 ml. bottle. It pours a clear, light golden color with a white head. Very light compared to the American versions of the style. The aroma has some sweet maltiness with some floral hops. Lots of baked bread. The flavor has levels of maltiness from crackers, to baked bread and bread crust. Pretty strong floral hops throughout and especially in the finish. Pretty bitter. Nice, sturdy and satisfying lager.

Nice creamy lasting head. Aroma is funky barnyard & horse blanket(?). Taste is more grassy, with just a touch of citrus, sweet malt, finishing with a nice dryness. I actually really like this. Perfect for a nice warm Aussie summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

van de tap tijdens bokken en happen 2013. Goudgeel troebel bier met een flinke witte schuimkraag. In d. Geur citrus en honing in de smaak ook zoet en zuur. Aardig bier maar heeft werkelijk niets te maken met bockbier.

Thanks to Martin for this bottle! Pale golden in colour, The Beer starts quite malty-grainy, a bit bready. Slightly bitter for a Festbier. The aftertaste is medium to long, crisp and dry, more bitter than expected. --> 8/10/7/8

Thanks to erzengel for sharing! Pours a clear pale golden yellow with a small white cap. The smell is honey, light caramel, grain. The taste is similar to the nose while finishing dry and crisp. The body is light and the carbonation is finely structured and elegant.
