COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Pours a clear gold with a short white head and some lacing. It has a mild aroma of light malts and some slightly earthy hops. The flavor is clean and smooth, with a mild malt flavor up front and a crisp aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated from notes taken 14 Sep 2011 -- Drank at an Oktoberfest beer tasting. This was my favorite of them all.

Fin slightly better log almost a full yellow pale in the van color not very cloudy little see-through. Does not deliver a big head. Definitely a Bavarian Oktoberfest in contrast to the Americans that's a richer flavor with the duppel bach color. Drinking this from a 1 pint .9 fluid ounce bottle labeled Oktoberfest beer a nice subtle refreshing lager for the autumn season. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle to glass. Golden straw hue with thick fizzy white head. Aroma is bread, cereal, slight sulphur, slight clove. Mouthfeel is great with a light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with a spicy hop following and slight sulphur finish. Overall this is a quite enjoyable Oktoberfest brew.

Clear light amber (golden) pour. Very nice head, lacing and retention. Light, slightly sweet nose, with notes of pear over biscuit. Almost light medium body with a touch of smoothness. Above average carbonation that provides a nice effervescence throughout. The flavor profile is laid back, but has a very nice balance and a bit of complexity. It begins with pear and a touch of lemon, then flows into a rather toasty biscuit light sweetness. The middle effervesces into a slight bitterness over a receding biscuit. The finish approaches crisp and has a noble hop flavor note over a slightly dry character. A solid Oktoberfest, but not world class such as Great Lakes, Hacker-Pschorr or Ayinger.

I would have expected more from this brewery. Light pour. Nice grainy aroma and flavor. Maybe a touch of hops. Not very full bodied for a marzen.

Draught at Temple Bar Rotschild. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of grainy and bready malt and some diacetyl. Sweetish flavor with grainy and bready malt, some butterscotch and a drier finish, mildly bitter and a bit crisp. Light to medium-bodied. Probably better without poe diacetyl (possibly from dirty tap lines?) but still quite easy-drinking.

Good balance, easy drinking. A little yeastier than some of the other classic marzens. Finishes with very light sour note. Bottle at Scion.

Found this one on the shelf at Cape wine ans spirits in Delaware, under the name Octoberfest. Next time I’m there I’ll leave it on the shelf. Weissbier, Korbinian, and Vitus are great, but this one left me completely disatified. No taste, sad appearance, no aroma, I have loved all the other Weihenstephaner, but this one disappointed.

Golden body and huge head, quite clear. Say malts, but of good quality. Very faint hops only, but not unpleasant. Easy to drink for sure, with softer carbonation than most German pilsners. Excellent mouth feel, also from the foam, but a bit too sweet for my taste. (50cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
