COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Very yeasty aromas to dough and spices, with an industrial lager-like appeareance. Nice white head, persistent, with no lace. Mouthfeel is very watery, bland, with notes to spices, maybe fruits, and slightly salty. No malts. Pine style hops in mouth. In my opinion, the worst Weihenstephaner I’ve ever tasted. It has nothing at all. Deceiving.

Pint on draught at the York Tap. Golden, fizzy with a good foamy head on it into a long Weihenstephaner glass. Pleasant light malt/wheat aroma. Light, refreshing, mild bitter session beer. Quite reasonable.

It’s hazy golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, flower and bread, it’s very inviting. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of bread, flower, fruit and malt, and the finish is slightly dry. It’s very harmonic and easy to drink.

On tap at La Tape, Madrid. Gold body with medium head. Nose is citrus and spicy. Taste is malty, citrus, grapefruit. Quite nice beer all around.

bottle, beersofeurope. Pours a sparkling clear and pale gold colour, with a faint banana aroma. Grainy and sweet, with some lemon citrus and biscuit notes. A touch thin for 5.8% but a reasonably good beer.

12oz bottle. Not bad for a buck (got it on sale, son). Pours a quickly fading head, clearish medium-yellow color, no lacing. Aroma isn’t great, I agree, but it smells pretty much like a festbier. Taste isn’t amazing, but proper for the style, and not as hoppy as other reviewers claim, in my opinion. Points for clean finish and drinkability - 12oz just isn’t the proper serving size for this beer.

Bottle, 500ml. Pours a clear, fizzy, macro-style yellow colour. Aroma is of very grainy, in the German way, some citric and spice touches. Taste is very drinkable, though not much substance. Typical Festbier to drink and drink away!

16.9oz Bottle. The pour was a light golden yellow with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that quickly receded down to a very small collar and had poor spotty lacing. The aroma was of a grain malt, herbal hops and a sweaty yeast with a light hint of caramel along with a mild fruity ester. The taste was mildly malty with a light caramel sweetness and a strong grainy feel throughout, with the finish having a very light bitterness and a slight medicinal presence at the end. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with a grainy bitter taste left behind to fade into the background very slowly. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a mild carbonation. Overall this was a brew that did not offer up much flavor or anything else for that matter. Although it did have a good smooth drinkability and a very light feel, which would allow you to drink a few without feeling blotted...

Too hoppy for me to be a traditional seasonal beer. Golden color. Weihenstephaner beers are typically terrific, but this is a lesser offering than most.

Pint pour, golden with white fluffed head. Nose is lightly crisp with mild malt. Flavor is smooth, light crispness, fairly clean but a little light on the flavor for a marzen. Malt with a little citrus.. Not bad, not a great marzen. Meh

Pours a golden straw color - not expected for an Octoberfest. Kinda funky nose...some lemon, also a little skunky. Bready, malty taste with some lemon and honey notes. Better than the smell! Pretty light, pretty good. Had 3 of these (over a 2 week span), and liked each one more than the next. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
