1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very yeasty aromas to dough and spices, with an industrial lager-like appeareance. Nice white head, persistent, with no lace. Mouthfeel is very watery, bland, with notes to spices, maybe fruits, and slightly salty. No malts. Pine style hops in mouth. In my opinion, the worst Weihenstephaner I’ve ever tasted. It has nothing at all. Deceiving.

Bottle. Pours a sparkling golden color with average-sized white head. Carbonation is lively. Sweet malty aroma with grain notes and a bit of fruitiness. Quite sweet, a bit too much for me. Light bodied. Not as good as I had hoped it would be.

Pale straw pour with a white head. Aroma is a sweet corn and the taste is sweet with a tiny bit of bitterness in the finish.

A: Clear gold with a thin white head.
N: Malt, grist, some soap, toffee, earth, white peppercorn, coriander, some bark.
T: Big sweetness with a touch of bitterness. Clean.
M: Light body, crisp carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Easy drinking Oktoberfest. I prefer Aigner by a good amount and the Sierra Nevada, too.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2015 Bottle, small creamy head, clear intense gold color, aroma of biscuit and light honey, biscuity flavor with some honey and an empathic medium bitterness, medium bodied. Drinkable but just a little too sweet.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale golden with an average creamy and sticky head. Flavour is bready and grassy. Taste is medium sweet with a very light bitter finish. Average to low carbonation and oily to watery. Some say it is close to the original Helles but I found this one much blander, with much less hops. I would have to drink them side by side. Maybe because it was not as warm as when I drank the Helles. So I did not appreciate it in the same way. That pretty much sums up how able I am to rate a beer...Difficult not be biased by weather or mood or whatever.

Noble hops, clear lager smell in the nose. Clear golden with thick frothy head. Great lager, very smooth and balanced. People who rate this beer low don’t know what they talking about or just centered on hoppy ipas.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, malt, light spice. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2015 Bottle. Pours a yellow color with white head. Pizza crusty, bread, malty, sweet aromas. Sweet bread, malty, cornmeal, grain, slight herbal hop flavors. A more traditional wiesn type, rather than a marzen. Nice.

Tap at BBC Manchester.
Light golden color decent off white head. Rich bready pilsner maltiness with hints of floral spicy hops and just a touch of green apple. Nice malty Marzen beer!
