COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

drinks like a pilsner. really good. pours deep straw-gold with a thick white head. aroma is a little metallic, a little funky...mostly though, it’s a spicy, floral and bready aroma. light honeysuckle. taste is awesome; great balance between the maltiness and the spicy hop character. clean, spicy, malty finish. light carbonation, medium oiliness.

On tap at Maxs. Clear golden in color with a little white head. Hoppy and malty aroma. Caramel notes. Grainy malty and hoppy flavor. Citrusy notes. Crisp and clean tasting. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Has a nice floral aroma. Mild bitterness. Clear deep gold color. Reminds me of a pilsner in a way. A pleasant brew overall. Sweet but dry finish.

Pure but mild aroma has slightly earthy malting. Clear straw, creamy white head is dense but short. Taste has also bit zcech feel: butter, grass. Medium body, soft feel, easy to drink, nice palate, some bitterness. Basic, pure and simple easy-to-drink beer. As that works nicely.

Pours a clear straw golden with a thick eggshell head that leaves some nice thick dripping lace. Nose involves some fresh hoppy citrus notes, spice, doughy yeast, and cellar notes. Somewhat sweet, fairly bitter. Light-medium body, creamy, tingly, with a nice bitter hop finish. Very light in color for a marzen, but a nice drinkable brew.

Nice creamy lasting head. Aroma is funky barnyard & horse blanket(?). Taste is more grassy, with just a touch of citrus, sweet malt, finishing with a nice dryness. I actually really like this. Perfect for a nice warm Aussie summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle into dimpled mug, bottled on 4/16/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear bright gold color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale Oktoberfest style. All around good balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Clear light amber (golden) pour. Very nice head, lacing and retention. Light, slightly sweet nose, with notes of pear over biscuit. Almost light medium body with a touch of smoothness. Above average carbonation that provides a nice effervescence throughout. The flavor profile is laid back, but has a very nice balance and a bit of complexity. It begins with pear and a touch of lemon, then flows into a rather toasty biscuit light sweetness. The middle effervesces into a slight bitterness over a receding biscuit. The finish approaches crisp and has a noble hop flavor note over a slightly dry character. A solid Oktoberfest, but not world class such as Great Lakes, Hacker-Pschorr or Ayinger.

Pours a deep golden with a lasting, yet soapy, off-white head. Aroma is of spicy mittlefurh and fresh biscuits. The body is med. with med-lt. CO2. Somewhat sweet with a drying finsh. The flavors are beautiful, sweet biscuity malts. Some lemon-grass and pepper from the hops really rounds out an otherwise sweetish beer. The bitterness in the finish gives a very nice refreshment to this very palatable German brew. No SO2, no H2S, no diacetyl. I don’t really know what the rest of you want in a present day octoberfest. Really nice beer.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2008 Wow, the average on this beer is far too low. Pours pale yellow with a sudsy soapy white head. The aroma has pils malt, lemongrass, light breadiness and grass. Medium / light body with a grainy feel and gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with pils malt, light sweetness, grassiness and spicy hops. the finish is spicy and refreshing. A nicely constructed helles. (7/3/7/3/15 -3.5)
Rerate notes: This has to be a different beer that what I had last year ~ now it is definitely a marzen. Pours light golden / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has lightly sweet caramel malt with the distinctive o-fest traits, but it seems more subdued and dry. Medium light body that is more crisp than normal for the style. The taste is in lie with the aroma & is far more drinkable to me that most marzens due to the dryness and some noticeable hops on the finish. A good beer & very nice for the style.
