hoooray_beer (42), Cranford, New Jersey, USA Nov 28, 2007 I get the lemongrass aroma, and pilsner aroma. Has a great balance of malt to spicey pilsner bitter. I guess that’s the helles profile. I don’t get the breadiness. It’s got a contrasting sweet and dryness.
moutfeel is full but w/ small refreshing bubbles.
Bungalo22 (257), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Aug 20, 2008 A nice golden color with good carbonation and a small head. It smells of grains and malt with just a hint of hops. Not the best Octoberfest I have but no so bad either. It is smooth but just a bit too smooth and a bit skunked-like. Ron (737), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 2008 Flour City Brewfest. I was a little disapointed by this one after all the good ones I had from this brewer before. The hops did not apeal to me. Linus_Stick (1510), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2008 Blah. A terrible Oktoberfest. Aroma was stale lager with some biscuit. Pour was a very disappointing light gold with no head. I’ve never had an O/M this light. Taste was very sugary and sweet. Tasted like a Budweiser with some sugar dumped in it. Honey and metal in the aftertaste. Rockinout (940), Kent, Ohio, USA Aug 8, 2008 Golden color, light head, malty with notes of lemon, earth, and meadow. There are some drying hops in there also. Finishes malty. MrBunn (826), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle (already available in early August!!??) Pour is a very clearand fairly light gold color... head is minimal and aromas are of sweet malt, grass and flowery hops. Flavor is sweet malt presence with a bit of a metallic edge to it that is a little off-putting. The aftertaste twists a little south through the metal and all that, ending on an unfavorable note.
