The brew had plenty of carbonation. Aroma was of overripe bananas with clove and wheat. The taste was kind of the same. I have to say that most Hefeweizen taste the same to me. I like them, I just can’t tell too much difference. Produce Place 2.79 NPRugby11 (82), New York, USA

Has an amazing banana scent, which carries through to the taste. Beautiful fruity sweetness complimented by the banana hints, goes down very smooth as well. This is the best beer I’ve ever had, it’s easy to see why this brewery has been around for nearly 1000 years. DiabolikDUB (143), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a cloudy yellow with some hints of orange and a fizzy but dense white head that quickly dissolves into a good layer atop the glass. The aroma is banana, clove, fruity esters and yeast, slightly bubble-gummy. The taste is sweet upfront and accompanied by some earthy notes and ends a touch tart with a nice semi-dry finish. Its light bodied with very nice effervescence. Very tasty stuff, I know now why people bring this beer up when talking about a "classic" German Hefe. We done, tasty and thirst quenching. ha1ag (419), Maastricht, Netherlands

Color is hazy orange with lively carbonation and enormous white head which leaves thick layered lacing. Looks very nice. Nose is citrus, and sweet banana. Aroma is the same with yeast. The sweet sour composition remains. Very well balanced between sweetness and sour. Very nice! GardenGabe (125), Denver, Colorado, USA

Heady yeasty smell with the spice of cloves and a lots of esters on the back of the pallet, bannana, bubblegum. Taste is a light sweetness followed with a dry bitter. Soft feel with the tingle of champagne carbonation. Fullers74 (61), Denmark

Doesn’t clobber you over the head with clove and banana. Very balanced. lcarriza (2), Illinois, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. Smoothest Hefeweizen I have ever tried but the flavor left me wanting more. Banana aroma traditional to Hefeweizen’s wasn’t very strong and the same could be said for the flavor. Just not what I was expecting from it. On the positive side it pours a beautiful white head and goes down very smoothly. Still a great Hefeweizen but just not my favorite.
