Pours a huge fluffy white head of good duration, with some lacing, over a cloudy yellowish (SRM 5-7) body.....nose of apple, pineapple, lemon, bit of bubblegum/banana, and the usual clove......taste initially is tart apple and pineapple, ending with clove, dry thoughout.....mouth feel is light, carbonation high. Hits the style exactly. gardyloo (12), USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours a huge, pillowy, pitted, meringuey, white head. Patchy, sticky lacing. Hazy, golden body with light yeast clouds. Aroma is dominated by clove with a vanilla accompaniment and some light banana and bubble gum esthers. A little dough presence from the yeast with some underlying wheat malt and grain. Creamy, medium bodied palate with prickly carbonation. Very smooth with a lightly bitter finish. Some faint tartness, too, as well as a touch of citrus. Overall a fantastic Hefeweizen, which for me is close (but not quite) to ideal for the style. Murky orange/gold colour with lasting foamy white head. Aroma is mostly citrus and yeast with a touch of spice. Cloves and bubblegum/banana are the immediate flavours with an underlying lemon/orange taste and a strange, but very pleasant, touch of overripe apple. Long, dry finish and very light on the tongue. Excellent. Indutiomarus (11), Kuwait

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Bottle, Tesco, Carlisle. Exceptionally cloudy, with a foaming white head, accompanied by a fresh, fruity aroma. Peaches and cream the prominent flavour, with subtle citrus and a big dose of herbs. Nice tangy bitterness on the tongue and, as with the majority of German Hefes, really refreshing.
