So incredibly crisp and bright, like citrus in hoppy beers without the hop acidity. Lots of banana and cloves everywhere, some corriander and lots of yeast, but not bready. Great and clean and crisp and vibrant. Not a hefe fan but this one was great. flatmatt (221), Northville, Michigan, USA Jun 7, 2009 500 mL bottle. Pour is hazed golden tending toward amber with a large white head. Strong clove aroma with banana and bubble gum. Flavors of wheat, cloves, mild bubble gum, spices, and a slight touch of apple. These flavors are balanced perfectly to create a unique and very tasty profile overall. Great hefe. JanEric (167), Meppel, Netherlands Jun 5, 2009 Bottle, poured out in a new, unsused glass. Maybe that’s why there’s not too much head. Cloudy look. Fresh aroma, a sparkling taste, good beer Alopex (28), Crystal, Minnesota, USA Jun 4, 2009 Bottle into a weizen glass. Pours a cloudy yellow with a very impressive head. Took me a few min to pour all of it into the glass. Mellow bready aroma with very slight notes of clove and spice. Taste is very mild and bready. A nice hefe. Narnad (682), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2009 Tasted at Emmetts Tavern in West Dundee at their quarterly beer tasting. Pours a hazy golden color with a very thick white head. Aroma is light clove, slight ester profile is present, lots of yeast and wheat. Flavor is very well balance with the esters being light in the background with a slightly heavier clove but not overdone. There is a slight sweet wheat profile throughout the drink and the yeast really add a great flavor as well as help to carry the density of the brew. Overall a great hefe and one that I can image being even greater fresh or from the tap. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Jun 2, 2009 Draft at a party. Poured a hazy light orange with a thick white head. Aroma is sweet wheat with notes of banana, citrus, and yeast. On the palate, it is cabonated and refreshing. The flavor brings out a bit of clove and a few other spices. I am normally not a huge fan of a Hefeveizen, but this was exceptional. Thanks Gregg. rustychiles (1007), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 30, 2009 Pours a hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is bananna cloves esthers ans malt as well as yeasts. Flavor is clove bananna esthers wheat , malt spices. Well balanced hefe.
