CheersMate1 (766), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 3, 2009 Huge fluffy head that sticks around for awhile. Nice looking translucent orange haze color. A very awesome looking beer. Huge yeast citrus aroma. This has a ridiculous aroma to it. A nice yeast hefeweizen smell. Jeez this aroma is pungent. Nice banana clove smell. Big on the yeast and banana flavor. A very good taste, but it is missing the spices. I think there could be more clove. Not as thick as I would like it. One of the best, if not the best german hefeweizen I have ever had. Overall, great beer. PJClarke (609), London, Greater London, England Apr 2, 2009 Big, hazy, golden and unmistakably German.
Loads of banana in the aroma which makes it quite a palpably thick smell. Citrus and coriander top-notes. Some lightly roasted caramel and cereal hidden back there too.
Very sweet and fruity. A tiny dry tingle deep in the throat brings some biscuity powderiness. Orange peel and juicy mango with very obvious yeast.
Lovely thick, whipped cream texture. An absolute pleasure to drink.
arondee (173), Tucson, Arizona, USA Apr 1, 2009 Poured a copper orange with a small white head. Smells of lemons, tastes of lemons and bananas. Lots of fragrance, lots of taste. A very drinkable session beer. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Apr 1, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of crisp wheat, banana, clove and a hint of cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full, yet crisp. Flavors dance across the palate, infusing a well-balanced flavors that are also present in the aroma. Nice yeast component as well. Finishes dry-yet-juicy, not bitter nor sweet. Simple, but well composed. Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Apr 1, 2009 Bottle from BevMo! Pours a cloudy yellow/gold color. Aroma is very yeasty with banana, clove, and a hint of bubble gum. Taste is the same, with a metallic and flat finish. jameswolfe (141), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 31, 2009 A great Hefe. Have not had one of these since I went to Germany. And I do miss it. Cloudy gold and smells of delicious yeast. Tastes of banana and fruit. Decent finish. beezz86 (68), Jasper, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2009 Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow, golden color with a frothy white head with nice lacing. The aroma was of clove and bananas and the flavor was the same, but not as good. The beer has a medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, and an abrupt finish. Overally, this is a good beer. I wish the flavor was as good as the aroma. I would definately drink this beer again. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Mar 23, 2009 500ml bottles from Utobeer & Nelson Wines. Cloudy yellow amber with a lovely nose of clove and herbs. Fresh taste and a delicate palate. Overall, a great example of the style.
