Hazy golden yellow, with a thin dense head. Slightly sour and critrusy, grassy, light bitterness, with a lightly sweet, malty and loaded of banana finish. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. Good and well balanced.

On tap at Old Nick’s pub, Eugene Oregon. Amazing beer that’s very simple, yet hits the spot in a way few others can. I’ve also had this out of the bottle, too. Price to value ratio is very good. This is a high quality beer at a fair price. Taste is excellent. Banana bread and hints of licorice were detected, coupled with sweet grains. I’m just gonna sum it up by saying this beer is great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Towering fine & dense white head, very stable over very hazy, pale orange beer; Banana, not much else. Hint at basmati rice, and raffia. Sweet-sourish banana; lactic/wheat acidity, citric even. Spritzy carbonation, refreshing, wheatslickness, medium bodied. Not bad, but I’m surprised that this brewing institute can’t do better than some of its big company competitors.

Liter @ pilsner hause in a stein with a Hazy yellow beer. Medium white long lasting head. Aroma of bananas and a bit of cloves in the flavor. But also a malty taste with hints of hops to finish. This is a nice weissbier.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazy yellow with a medium sized white head and a few spots of lace. Aroma is bubblegum, vanilla, light banana, clove, and light bready wheat. Flavour is vanilla, clove, bubblegum, banana, mild noble hop presence with a mild bitterness and a chewy/bready wheat characteristic. Very good example of a traditional German hefe!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught. Colour dull yellow. Good stable froth. The aroma of apple, citrus, malt and bread. Thick taste of wheat malt, hops, green apple, bread. Mighty Wise, but in my opinion, not the best copy. I’ll check in bottled form. Rated 4 out of 5.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2015 Lekker Weissbier, dat zich vooral van andere Weissbieren onderscheidt door de fruitige geur en frisse afdronk. Perfect bier voor in de zomer.

Weihenstephaner is the pioneers of wheat beers, because it is from the world’s oldest brewery that still exist, and their beer is cherished by beer connoisseurs worldwide. Beautiful foamy beer with a discreet but delicate aroma of banana and wheat. Other wheat beer smells more towards like freshly baked bread, but Weihenstephaner is therefore more ’green’ with fresh immature wheat grain. The taste is rich of ripe banana, but without the sweetness of taking too much. It is a little spicy of coriander and a little clove, again in a manner which seasoning does not take over either banana sweetness or its fresh thirst-quenching wheat malt embossed twist. Everything is in perfect balance, actually so perfect that it is almost scary perfect. All hefeweissbier I will taste in the future will be in deep contrast to this masterpiece. I am very excited.
