4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Universal characteristics of a hefeweizen, but WOW what a bold flavor. The mouthfeel is just about perfect for this sort of beer and the beer has just the right balance of spice and carbonation. This is a fantastic example of a hefeweizen and a winner in every way.

This beer is another winner from Weihenstephaner. Do they make anyting not worth drinking? Well, except their alcohol free beer of course.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Straw-gold in the glass with a downright volatile, cloudy, light head. Lots of spice aromas and the smell of banana bread. Light, aromatic palate finishes soft and smooth, unlike lots of other hefes, this one finishes lemony, crisp and very very smooth. Flavors are closely integrated and balanced between fruit and grains. Classic and outstanding.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Golden orange, pale amber colour, hazy, with brief white head. Fruity, estery, slightly yeasty nose with notes of banan, green apples, Seville orange, clove and coriander. Fruity, slightly yeasty taste with banana, tropical fruit, hints of chocolate and spicy notes of clove and coriander. Some wheaty sweetness throughout but drier and more strained than many other of the same style. Solid and tasty hefeweissen.
