3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
better than average. pours out of the bottle a yellow-golden-hay hue w/ a thin but frothy white head that dissipates slowly but surely. a little bit watery but light and freshing on the palate. flavors overall a little simple and weak despite strong clove aroma and taste which is overdone. also bananas. yeasty aroma and flavors. easy to drink. could def. have more than 1.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
menial. listed as the 3rd best hefe, i guess i had higher expectations. though light body and character are the hallmarks of the hefe, i just need more flavor than this guy has to offer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a straw colour haze. White fully head. Nose is wheat and banance. Taste is well balanced with clove, honey, wheat, yeast and some bananers. Well put together, nothing offsetting. I could sip on these all day! Happy retirement Bergkamp. Us Gunners gonna miss you.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Blonde and cloudy with good rising head. Citrusy and yeasty wheat nose. This has a spicy flavor, with a bitter citrus tang, a hint of banana, and a good balance of wheat. Simple yet very refreshing.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Philip. Hazy gold pour, lots of cloudiness, with a head that tops most, that is beige, and lasts for a while. Not what I was expecting in the aroma at all. I was expecting a banana whallop, but instead I’m getting a yeasty punch with a smack of cloves and spices to folow it up. Very much a clove flavour, with spices, some fruit, and creamy oranges. Smooth finish, with lingering wheat finish. Thanks so much Phil, I’m glad I got to try it finally.

50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Light amber cloudy colour with a great huge head. Great aroma of bread, yeast and hints of banana. Very fresh flavour og wheat with a great combination of the fine yeast, very little bitter. Very lively palete.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a good hefeweizen, but I still rather stick with a fraziskaner. Cloudy golden, slight aroma of fruit, taste is a bit wheaty, maybe a hint of banana.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden unclear, very fast disappearing white head leaving thick laces; A little citrus in a otherwise clove, yeast dominated nose; Little acidy in the body but great carbonation (not all that big in comparison with other weizen beers), very little power; Long, but watery finish with lots of clove and some late acidity.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
0.5 L bottle, ’bbe’ Sep 06. Light veiled dark golden with a fine sparkle. The head is not huge yet stable and quite lacy. The aroma is yeasty, floral, orangey, also slightly sulfurish and acidic. Very round and full taste, slightly acidic. There is an elegant, fruit stone or nut-like bitterness in the aftertaste. Yeast notes appear when the beer warms up. Full body, lively palate, dry finish. Great balance.
