An excellent German beer, probably one of the best I have ever had. From beginning to end, it is truly an experience. It really has unique flavoring. Also it’s impressive I am drinking from the "world’s oldest brewery". A great beer, try this yeasty gem. I am just loving the aftertaste, I feel like I am enjoying the best wheat available!

Another fine Hefe. Tastes very similar to the Franziskaner, in my opinion. Very fruity and sweet. Beautiful color and nice frothy white head. Very smooth.

500ml Bottle. Prominant aroma of tropical fruit, banana, clove and maybe just a slight grassyness to it. Pours a gold body thick with haze with a bit foamy kinda head atop. The first thing that gets to me is the fullness and smoothness of the body. Lots of spicey hints come with the well balanced subtle sweet tropical fruit flavours. Goes down oh so easily. Not sure if this is the best hefe i’ve tried, but it’s certainly a great drop.

Bottle - Hazy yellow/golden hue and makes a thick white head. Pleasant aroma, lots of banana and citrus in the nose, and fresh cut flowers. The flavor is sweet and malty with accents of banana and has a very spicy crisp finish. Palate is medium to full and carbonated perfectly. Very smooth finish. An excellent hefe.

Highly efferevescent, cloudy yellow, big head that is gone in seconds, bubbles still dancing about though. Aroma is a touch sweet, long aftertaste, lightly bitter. Initial flavours fruity and sour. Very light mouthfeel, fizzy without any acid. Overall very nice.

Draft. After a week stashed in a growler, it’s still pretty good. Cloudy pale yellow has just a tinge of pink in the center of the glass. Very refreshing wheat taste, not only a lemony spritz, but a little Belgian candi sweetness, it seems.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy golden brown with a large white head. Malty wheat with some orange, banana and a cinnamon clove like aroma. Lightly tart wheat flavor with some fruity citrus flavors which lead into some estery banana notes. Light clove spice in the crisp finish. Very solid hefe, but I expected a little more, given its reputation.
