COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

Cloudy gold with a big white head. Yeasty, wheat, fruit aroma. Nice tangy fruit taste that gives way to a banana flavor. Good beer.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2006 Draught at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Hazy yellow-orange color with bubbly white head. Complex aroma including bananas, clove, yeast, and caramel. Tangy fruit up front, but not overly. Nice grainy aftertaste. Very good hefe.

This beer pours a fresh sqeezed orange juice color and leaves a thick white lace. The smell is aromatic orange, lemon zest, grass, hay, summertime in a bottle. The taste of this beer is so smooth it goes down so easy, lemon, grassy notes, with some subtle orange sweetness lingers on the palate in the finish. This is a simple hefe that just satisfies the tounge with fresh malty sweetness.

"good beer, not my favorite hefe. Pour a cloudy yellow with a massive head. Aroma was of cloves and way to much banana. The flavor was over run by banana. Would put franz and paulaner are better though. "

The ’world’s oldest brewery’ comment on the label sold me on this beer. I figured they’ve had the longest to make a good product so why not try it.... and It didn’t disappoint. Pours a golden yellow with plentiful white head that lasts. Aroma of wheat with a strong mild lemon scent. Flavor is full wheat with some lemon and there is a bubblegum presence that appears after the immediate after-taste.

Pours a light yellow with nice lacing. Aroma of blunt lemon and wheat. Slight bubblegum hints in the background. Flavor is rounded banana and a full wheat flavor. A hint of lemon in the finish. A nice, light hefe. Repeat? Heck yeah.

On tap at Old Munich Biergarten in Bradenton, Fl: Pours a cloudy golden color with a big white frothy head. Aroma is yeasty with hints of wheat and banana. Flavor is yeasty and light on the hops with a smooth sweet finish. I would definitely try this again.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a thick white frothy head. Typical, but not aggressive, aroma of banana esters and wheat malt. The banana clove and sweetness typical of this style was very tame in this example. Texture was a bit too fizzy. Finish has some faint bitterness, and is chalky and earthy. Maybe this was not a fresh sample, but I found this to be a rather generic Hefeweizen.
