Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

This is the standard for a German Hefe-Weissbier. Beautiful color, wheat aroma, and a touch of sweetness to the taste. Went through many kegs at the last Oktoberfest. Iím always trying new beers at my store, but there is always a 6 pack of this in the frig. - Das ist dein scheiBe !!

Pours golden clear. Aroma is wheaty and sweet. Flavor is clean, crisp and refreshing, everything a hefeweizen should be. Arguably the best wheat beer Iíve ever tasted.

16.9 oz. bottle. Classic hefeweizen scent: bubblegum, flowers, bananas, cloves, soap. The bubblegum scent in particular is extremely strong. Also a touch of new car smell. Pours a hazy, sparkling, relatively pale gold with a large amount of fluffy, uneven, off-white head. Produces loose but thick sporadic lacing. Sharp, lemony, yeasty flavor. Slight spice kick. Subdued flavors overall. Appetizing, but I wish the flavors were stronger. Little aftertaste. Medium body. Smooth in the palate. Moderate liveliness. Easy to drink. I decided to enjoy this prototypical summer refresher in celebration of a beautiful, sunny, 70 degrees late March Minnesota day. Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier is very much worthy of its classic status.

Bottle. Pours thick, hazy yellow (actually quite clear for a hefe). Head is white and nice creamy. Aroma is very sweet with quite a lot of banana. Very nice, full mouthfeel. Begins quite sweet and then turns a little bit bitter. Compared to other hefeís itís sweeter, but more well-rounded.

boTTle....pours thick, spumous white head and cloudy honey-colored body with moderate carbonation. Pleasant aroma of banana esters, yeast, and fresh biscuits. Great depth of flavor with a pronounced fresh wheaty character, and notes of blood orange, some mild nuttiness( kinda like me). Continental hops make an appearance and lend some light but detectable flavor and bitterness. Mostly dry except for a touch of honey-like sweetness. Medium fullness on the tongue with some crisp and lively effervescence. Do a few more of these on a hot summer day...yep

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2010 Draft and bottle several places. Good Bavarian hefeweizen, with clove-spice-yeast aroma and flavor. Cloudy pear-honey color with huge creamy head. Flavor is spicy yeasty wheat with some not very sweet fruit, and some slight tartness. Excellent choice that beats the heck out of typical American wheat beers.

Got a cool looking cloud in the orangey-copper beer as the yeast fell down against the bubbles of carbonation. Smell and taste are a familiar fruity wheat. Very slight orange taste with hints of other mild fruit. Mild clove and very mild pepper.

One of the best hefeís out there. Itís no Edel-weisse by G. Schneider, but itís eye-popping. Very slightly fruity, nice and crisp. Damn near perfect.

Iím afraid to taste anything rated higher than this. It could possibly put me death. This is by far the best Hefe. Maybe itís to common to recieve the highest rating. The yeast from this beer is the base for every good american Hefe Iíve ever had.
