3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
I can see how this beer is best-in-class. This is quite a good hefeweizen, but I think I’d still rather have a Franziskaner I think.
Appearance of this beer was quite good in my pint glass: hazy yellow with plentiful head (note to self: buy better glasses for this type of beer). Aroma is of wheat, clove, and is quite fruity and pleasant. Flavor is rich and spicy and quite good. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. This beer is very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A better-than-decent full-bodied Hefeweizen that’s widely available. You know the appearance: unfiltered, straw-colored, booming white head. Bubblegum, bananas, cloves, coriander. Very refreshing, especially on hot Florida summer days.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2008 dark golden, cloudy apricot pour with large slightly beige white head. Smooth familiar banana taste with orance emphasis. This is an excellent Hefe in a bottle. Way too easy to drink

Cloudy apricot colour. Medium white thick head. Sweet fresh fruit and yest aroma. Pretty live carbonation - gives nice feeling to the mouth along with the somewhat thick texture . Tastes sour bread dough, soap and fruits. I had predujices for hefewiezens, but this was ok.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Aroma: Classic banana and clove, wheat malt, yeast, light lemon and floral. Appearance: Dark golden in color and very cloudy. Bright white head was huge and mousse-like with great retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Bready wheat malt, yeast, banana, clove, light bubblegum. Low bitterness. Some lingering sweetness into the finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: A standard for the style. Classic all the way around. Nice beer.
