3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Orange colour with big frothy white head. Orange and some coriander in the aroma. Very creamy on the palate. Tastes like bottled sunshine (and fruity grains). Very refreshing and harmonious. Brilliant hefe.

0.5l bottle purchased in a Spar in Graz
Hazy orange colour, big white head that went away fast. Nice aroma. Lemon, cloves, honey, apple, banana... even some hops I reckon. Taste.. lovely mouthfeel.. Pleasantly sweetish. Lemon, cloves, yeast, banana, some apple, pleasant lacticity. Extremely weak traces of.. hops I guess near the end. Damn refreshing. And here I am rating the best hefe Iíve had and I find myself not being capable of writing much.. Itís lighter than some, sure, but in this light definitely doesnít mean tasteless. A superb hefe.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazy deep straw gold color, topped by an inch or so of white foam. The head receds quickly to just a cap, but this cap provides a fantastic coating of lace. Bready aroma, with wheat and bread yeast, clove and some other spice - maybe light ginger.
Dry wheat flavor that is actually very full, complimented by nice yeast, mild clove, and some other dry spice that definitely is not ginger. It reminds me of fresh borage - a little peppery, grassy and herbal, even a little flowery citrus tang. Probably its just the hops, I know no spices or adjuncts are added.
Good medium body, full carbonation, lingering dry aftertaste with just a hint of dried banana.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I just donít like german beer is what it boils down to. Granted, i drank this in the middle of winter. Had it been during the summer, and the beer was served extremely cold, at least it would be refreshing. The wheat was very prevalent. Very crisp mouthfeel, but very muddled flavor

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this on draft at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, GA over the Christmas holidays and it blew me away. Exceeded all expectations I had since most hefeís have tasted the same to me in the past. This has clearly become my favorite of the sytle in a hurry. Perfect, unfiltered appearance and the most lovely marshmellow-like aftertase on the finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Botte. Pours a cloudy orange with a big white head. Smells of fruits, mainly bananas, and spice. Very crisp and clean, but it really doesnít do a ton for me, maybe different if had just got done mowin the lawn, but yeah, its january. But overall a pretty typical heffe.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours cloudy yellow with a thick white fluffy head. Smells of a typical hefe with bananas and spice dominating. Taste is very nice sweet bananas, cloves, nutmeg, and a bit of citrus in there with pleanty of yeasty wheat goodness to boot. Have to say this is my favorite hefe so far.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2011 Bottled. Yellow-orange wheat with a diminishing white head. Some banana in the flavor, else it is only malt and grains. Sweet flavor with hints of caramel, fruits and spices. Medium to full body with a weak finish. A real disappointment even thoug it is not a bad hefeweizen. Rating: 5-3-6-3-12-2.9. 061124
Bottle. Looking back at my original rating of this beer, itís clear I have to rerate it. It pours an orange-golden body and a big, dense, off-white head with medium longevity. It has a pretty pushing aroma, in a nice way, with lots of banana, some lemony hints and a nice spicy clove scent. Sugary caramel too. Itís full-bodied and nicely effervescent on the palate, with banana, cloves and caramel in a pleasant flavor trinity. The banana and some cloves are really lasting. A touch of bitterness chimes in. A really classic and quenching weissbier, thatís for sure. 110627
