3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Cloudy orange with huge white head. Fruity cooked banana aroma with hints of citrus and yeast. Sweet cooked banana in taste along with hints of yeast. Wellbalanced and not as sweet as Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier.

In no particular order: the after taste gets sweeter the longer it lasts. not much aroma, not much expected, a little yeast, a nice head, really big, cloudy and hazy, really good carbonation, good taste, dry and sweet.

Murky tan/oxidized-(not greened)-copper. I prefer this to most hefeweizens, as it does not punch you in the nose and mouth with its wheaty citrus glove. It makes for a less defensive (thus more confident) brew. Finish is malty and sweet--again, not going overboard on these features. I hope to try this again--next time on tap (this time from bottle).

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a strawy colour and had a brilliant white head, the nose was spicy/yeasty. This was similar to other spiced wheat beers I have tasted, but with few surprises. There is quite a wheaty flavour and hints of clove, citrus and banana. Its not a world class beer, but is refreshing, clean and well worth the try.

An outstanding example of the German hefe-weizen. Beautiful rusty orange color, major clove & bubblegum, with banana underneath. Lots of sparkle on the tongue. Nice apple-like aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazy, golden amber beer with a huge initial white head which despite dying rapidly leaves behind ample carbonation. Decidedly yeasty aroma with a slight nutty character. Sweetish with a slight fizz on the tongue. Yeasty flavours with some apple undertones. Overall an easy drinking beer but lacking any “stand-out” feature demanding attention or setting it apart from the rest.

Pours a hazy golden/orange color. Aroma is very yeasty and strong banana as well. Flavor is somewhat spicy. Kind of grainy with a hint of sweetness toward the end.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Almost opaque from the beige, yeast cloud that I formed from pouring every last drop of yeast and beer into my glass. Nice foamy, white head, but not rocky. Orange-amber around that cloud. The phenolic aroma blows you away after a good pour--lots and lots of cloves with a burst of lemony bubblegum mingling with subtle banana undertones. As for the flavour, it tastes a lot like it smells, except malt comes through in the flavour that was not apparent in the nose; lemony clove with bubblegum and banana at the very end. Bitterness is pleasant and refreshing, underscored by the effervescence. Light bodied with a clean finish. I like this beer.
