Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

Dark cloudy yellow colour. Lightly sparking. Fresh citrus aroma. Fresh spicy taste with some pepper in there. Some lingering carbonation keps the flavour alive in the mouth after swallowing.

Bottle. Pour is a darkish gold, light amber... a little cloudy. Head is pretty substantial and it is taking multiple pours to get it all into the glass. Aromas are lovely. Sweet honey wheat aromas mix with a little bit of coriander and cloves spicing with some floral hops in the background. Bread and yeast. Flavor is about the same with some banana at the tail end that leaves a pleasant little aftertaste. This is a really nice hefe.

Pours cloudy pale orange, tons of white froth. Strong wheat aroma--yeast and light-bread-y--and citrus. Robust flavor-tangy and bitter, and some banana. Full-bodied for a hefe and clean creamy finish.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2007 500ml bottle. poured, rolled, then poured it out into a FFF english pint glass. sorry no weizen glass left. pours hazy golden with fluffy white head. nose has a nice touch of banana and wheat without being sickingly overbearing, other aroma notes are wheat and other grains. flavor is not undelicous, a refreshing mix of wheat and banana. creamy mouthfeel baby. man even though itís not imperial itís good stuff. jk. the best hefe iíve had and maybe my 7th so thatís saying a lot. drink up suckers.

Many hefes taste very similar to me-- but this one always just stands out a little. Maybe itís their yeast? Excellent flavor and quite refreshing on a warm summer day.

Bottle. Cloudy orangey golden with the characteristic huge head. Banana aroma dominant, clove is also noticeable. Fruity flavours that are less in your face than suggested by the nose- nicely balanced banana flavours with yeast and spices for dry effect. Medium to full body, soft. A classic that does not disappoint.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2013 A beautiful, cloudy, golden-orange coloured, a head is medium and blond. The nose is fruitfill, not very sweet, lots of yeast, bananas and hint of grass. Taste is fruitfull and smooth, bananas, wheat, yeast, great and balanced sourness. Medium bodied, lots of carbonation, smooth to drink and almost oily. Balanced beer and very refreshning. The best hefe.

Iím curious how good this beer would be when it hasnít had to travel halfway around the world. It pours a cloudy amber with a large, frothy, off-white and diminishing head. The aroma is of cloves, citrus, bananas and a solid yeastiness. Light and slick, it finishes crisp and clean. The flavor is a sweet yeasty front with a light citrus and banana segue to a solid wheat finish. A very clean and refreshing drinker; I could drink these all day long.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2011 Itís been a long time since Iíve geeked out on Hefes, but on this hot day in Carolina I thought Iíd take a splash. And this one was just the ticket, with a big cloudy body, a lightly spiced palate, and a frothy mouthfeel. Really good and quaffable, on a par with Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr.
