Wonderful head and pleasant aftertaste. Has the citrus effect that a good wheat beer should have, maybe the best wheat beer I have sampled, although the Hacker is close!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good sweet and citrus aroma. Taste is very citrusy, mainly orange and a little lime. Body is medium. Some hops evident in the finish. A little too carbonated for me, but other than that a good beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy golden color, with the most beautiful frothy hite head on top! Thats the way a hefeweizen should look! The aroma has banana, spices, yeast, some smoke and some biscuits. Spicy flavor, yeast, biscuit, banana and some dryness in the end and notes of hops. Its very full-bodied. Weihenstephaner... mmmmmm...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good beer for this style, but I prefer Hacker-Pschorr or Paulaner instead. This beer definately has the citrus and yeasty-wheat thing down, but lacks in depth compared to other of this style.

50cL Bottle, 04.11.04. pours a golden, hazy, hay color. Completely clouded. Mammoth, fluffy white head. As the beer settles down a bit the appearance becomes less dramatic, more ordinary. Beautiful aromas of floral and citrus hops and yeasts. Flavors are somewhat vegetal up front; bell pepper, sweet, red; coriander, anise, clove. Mouthfeel is coating and full, but decidely light with an assertive crisp carbonation tingle. Refreshing and quaffable. A classic.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I very much enjoyed this beer. Poured a very golden hazy color with a thick head. Had a nice fresh lemony taste to it that all weissbeers should have. A very excellent brew.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2006 2003 bottle. Pours a medium dark yellow, getting much more orange the more sediment is poured in. Large white head. Smells of light citrus, some faint clove and fresh wheat. Had big expectations for this one and it definitely delivered. Very delicate for the style. Flavor is subtle, lightly citric, with only a small amount of banana. The finish has a good crisp yet sweet (hard to imagine, but that’s what it’s like) bubble gum flavor, with some light hops. Body had a spritzy carbonation that I love. Hacker-Pschorr pours on more flavor, but this one is more balanced and understated.

Wheat and citrus aroma. Orange/white color with average white head. Complex finish of wheat and fruit that last the whole drink. Very drinkable.
