5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2007 Everything a great weissbier should be. A beautiful bright yellow creamy butter hue w/ a full, creamy froth. Superb head retention that slowly reduces to a full silky canopy and lace. Aromas of banana cream, vanilla, and mellow citrus. Medium full nectar on the palate really infuses the complex flavors of vanilla, lemony citrus rind, honey, and spicey banana cream. Mildly medicinal w/ a fruity mild sweetness . Every great weissebier needs a little medicine in it’s portfolio. The finish has a slight acidic twitch to it clearing the palate for the next sip. Overall: a classic specimen. Creme de la creme! Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma has bananas, wheat, sugar, floral hops, spices, citrus, and mild sourness. The appearance is cloudy gold with a large foamy white head. The taste has cloves, bubblegum, wheat, bananas, citrus, and some bitterness. The aftertaste is malty and tangy. The thin palate is the only disappointing part of this otherwise very good beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer pours a fresh sqeezed orange juice color and leaves a thick white lace. The smell is aromatic orange, lemon zest, grass, hay, summertime in a bottle. The taste of this beer is so smooth it goes down so easy, lemon, grassy notes, with some subtle orange sweetness lingers on the palate in the finish. This is a simple hefe that just satisfies the tounge with fresh malty sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
"good beer, not my favorite hefe. Pour a cloudy yellow with a massive head. Aroma was of cloves and way to much banana. The flavor was over run by banana. Would put franz and paulaner are better though. "

The ’world’s oldest brewery’ comment on the label sold me on this beer. I figured they’ve had the longest to make a good product so why not try it.... and It didn’t disappoint.
Pours a golden yellow with plentiful white head that lasts. Aroma of wheat with a strong mild lemon scent. Flavor is full wheat with some lemon and there is a bubblegum presence that appears after the immediate after-taste.
