Commercial Description:
Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

Cloudy and Golden with a durable and lively white head. Aromas of Bannana and yeast with a hint of lemon. Sweet on the first sip developing to sour then bitter at the end of the taste. Smooth mouthfeel, almost coating the mouth and going down with little carbonation. Highly drinkable for lovers of beer or not this is a top notch beer and highly reccomended.

Draught. Pours with typical hefe golden cloudiness, with durable head. Citrus and yeast on the nose, and decent mouthfeel.

Tasty hefe, not too sweet, not too strong. A bit heady when poured, smooth going down. Fairly mellow overall and damn enjoyable. Not too expensive either for an import.

Bottled. Huge, floffy and creamy head is white. Pours hazy yellow to orange. Warm aroma of wheaty banana and sourish yeast. Spicy sharpness is also detectable. Flavor is sweetish malty with increasing sourness and dryness towards the finish. There´s also mild bitteration in the finish. Palate is creamy smooth and moderately carbonated. Medium bodied.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy with a firm almost creamy white head; very solid sweet-fruity (oranges, lemons) nose with some phenolic, yeasty and wheaty undertones; medium bodied; robust sweet-sourish flavour with a tinge of bitterness; moderate sweet-fruity-wheaty finish, balanced by bitterness and tartness in the aftertaste. First-class Weizen.........

Caramel aroma. Toffee taste, banana. As one would hope from a hefe.

This is one of my favourite hefe-weizens. However, I was pretty boozed up by the time I decided to knock this one back, and it wasn’t refreshing enough for me. The aroma was the usual toffee and banana, but the palate was sticky, and the taste was so packed full of caramel it was simply not crisp enough. I’ll have no problem rerating this in the future though.

Very tasty brew. Cloudy golden yellow color. Decently spicy (clove and yeast) with a very lemony flavor. Hint of banana as well. Smooth and well balanced. Has a tingling tartness. Yeast/spice flavors in the after taste; fairly dry finish. Mmmmm.

This is a very good food beer. Well balanced spices that will not over-power. A pleasant aroma of banana and cloves. One of the best hefe weizen I’ve had,
