| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Great Hefe. As usual bubble gum and banana mixed with some mild clove. A yeasty doughy texture. Huge creamy head that was extremely long lasting. Hazy murky clarity with average density. Color medium yellow. Light to medium body with creamy texture. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours the usual hefe cloudy yellow with a really nice 2 finger rocky white foamy head and perfect lacing. Nose is banana bubble gum and sweet wheat. Taste is coriander, clove, banana and yeast and a nice clean finish. Light mouth feel. Not a hefe fan, but this is the best one I’ve had by far. Mostly because of the way it finishes – it doesn’t have that overly sweet aftertaste. chrissy (122), Connecticut, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Pours cloudy golden with nice white head. reat citrus and spice flavor and aroma. Light feel to it. By far the best hefe I’ve tried. Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2008 Pours hazy gold with nice bright white head. The aroma first hits with a big bubble gum note. Upon deeper investigation the bubble gum was still there but just beneath were notes of wheat, mild banana, yeasty spices and some fruity esters in the background. Wow, tasty hefe. It starts with bubble gum, banana and wheat. Soon those notes are joined by mild tart acidity, floral and spice hop bitterness. As the finish approaches the classic bubble gum and banana overwhelm the other notes. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Bottle poured into a Weihenstephaner Weiss glass, produced a proper two fingers worth of white head that lasts. The body of this wonderful brew was a hazy and golden orange in color
The aromas of bananas, wheat and spices filled my head. The nose on this is exactly what I expect in a Hefe. The banana smell wasn’t overpowering as in some others
The flavors mimic the nose, but it is very refreshing in the way it plays in your mouth. Good carbonation and light as well, great flavors this is a world class Hefe. This starts of sweet and fruity and had a light dry finish.
Highly drinkable, it would be my go to session brew if it weren’t so expensive. EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Interesting how even not my favorite types of beers are worth drinking when they are one of the best in their category. A lot of flavor in this lighter tasting beer. Flowers and green fruit, spice and a crisp kind of malt and a slight dry finish. Not something I would choose again, but something I am better for having tried.
