Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

The gold standard for a hefeweizen. Pours a pleasant yellow. Inviting wheaty aroma. Beautiful white head. Tastes of banana bread, yeast and a hint of citrus. Best of all, no detectable hop flavour. Almost a thousand years of tradition - can’t get better.

Gold, clear yellow, white long lasting head, thick and tasty. Smells like rum from barrels, vanilla at first and wheat and fruits later. Sweetness of grains, bitterness of yeast. I really enjoyed in this one.

Oh my god, I loved this beer. Sometimes it's good to taste a hefeweizen the way it is supposed to be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours an average frothy white head that mostly lasts. Body is hazy, sparkling yellow orange. Aroma contains light malts (light bread, hay), light hops (orange, lime), light yeasts (dough, horse blanket) and banana, grape, apple, pineapple, vanilla, cola and spices. flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light sweet and finish is light acidic, light sweet and light bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. this is one of the best Hefeweizens. fruity, fresh, comlex and subtle. Just lovely.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow-gold, big fluffy white head, excellent retention and lacing, good carbonation. Nose is banana, cloves, bubblegum and wheaty malt. Mouth is light-medium bodied, creamy wheat, understated banana, cloves, bread dough, bubblegum, hay, lemongrass. Classic example of the style.

Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with thick head and moderate lacing; smell is of umami, bananas, cloves, fruity pebbles; taste is alternatively umami, like soy sauce and fruity, with bananas and cloves coming through. There is a bready, wheaty backbone that ties the flavors together. Very smooth and low in bitterness, this beer is definitely on the sweet side. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Overall, the archetypal hefeweizen; this is the standard all other wheat beers are to be judged by.

Appearance: Pours a pale yellow with just over a finger of white head which fades gradually. Aroma: Banana, yeast, bit of malt and hint of hops. Flavours: Banana, hops, yeast, baking flower, cloves and a hint of citrus. Mouthfeel: This beer has an incredibly smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Overall: A nice Hefeweizen although I didn’t go quite as crazy for it as everyone else. The banana and yeast notes are the most pronounced components with the aroma and flavour and I really liked this aspect.

Pours a murky yellow/golden colour with great carbonation and head. Aroma is fresh citrus fruits with bitter and sour notes. Strong citrus flavour, beautifully balanced bitter, sour and sweet notes. Goes down great.
