Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

THIS. This is what a Weiss beer should taste like. Favorite beer from the world’s oldest brewery.

J’attendais mieux. L’aspect est typique d’une weissbier, la mousse tient bien dans le temps. Pour le goût, c’est plat, ça manque de caractère. Bière surnotée par rapport à d’autres weissbier

My favourite hefeweizen. Hard to imagine one getting much better than this. The banana and clove notes are very subtle - perfect. wonderfully refreshing summer beer.

500 ml bottle @ En Aithria, Athens Greece. Color is light orange, hazy, with big white head. Aromas of banana, clove and yeast. Taste is sweet with yeast, banana and some clove and flower notes. Light body with medium to high carbonation.

Bottle pour. Cloudy golden with a large white creamy head. Ripe banana, dough, and yeast aroma. Creamy medium body. Ripe banana and wheat taste. Not bad, but not as good as many of the ratings suggest.

Klasyka gatunku weizenow. Smak od osadu dro?d?owego daje ciekawe doznania. Obfita, drobnop?cherzykowa piana. Barwa m?tna, jasna. Na pierwszym planie go?dziki, dalej banany. Idealne piwo na upa?y.

Tap at Weihenstephaner pub in Tbilisi (40 cl / 5.50 GEL). Opaque orange, kind of like home-made apple juice, head fluffy, white, very persistent. Nose is sour, wheaty and yeasty, faintly doughy, later on I also get some spicier notes. Could be my imagination fed by the German theme, but there also seems to be a bit of sauerkraut in here. Tastes mildly sour (as in light apple juice), wheaty... Begins with the sour notes, then settles at a grainier tone, finishing with a wheaty dryness. I’d also say it’s somewhat watery on the palate. It is light on the tongue, but overall it has a certain thickness. No bitterness. Palate very smooth and soft, carbonation present, but not too much, body relatively light. Overall decent. (Or rather: a boring classic.)

Very typical appearance for a wheat beer. Some bananas in the smell and much more in the taste. A monkey would definitely drink this beer and the image you have in mind is comparable to the beer. That’s how good this is. (Iff you like the thought of a monkey drinking this beer)

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2014 0,5 ltr bottle. Pours a orange yellow coloured beer. Taste wise it?s fruity banana / orangy with a light beer taste. Real nice drink. It’s fresh it’s exciting!

Bottle. Amber loveliness mit a thick head. Tres smooth and crisp. Feels like silk. (Well, actually no it doesn’t - it feels like beer. That was just a simile). Taste is understated but a nice subtle balance of tangy citrus and sweet malt. Superb, palate-cleansing example of the style. Jon likes this.
