Sep 30, 2008 Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a nice sized foamy head that doesn’t last. Aroma of bread, spice and banana. Flavor starts off with the sweet banana and then you get the malts and spice.
Nice carbonation from middle to end. Very smooth. Nice hefe.

Sep 26, 2008 06.02.2004, 0,5l Bottle. The colour is hazy yellow. The beer smells nice and has a nice aroma. The head is small and there is little carbonation. Aftertaste is a little weak.

Sep 25, 2008 500ml bottle. BB 21.1.09. Poured into official weizen glass with reasonably big fluffy white head atop a slightly cloudy golden body.
Plenty of banana on the nose, quite citrusy with a good deal of clove, vanilla and bread coming through.
Carbonation is fairly lively, creamy texture, smooth full body with a hint of refreshing citric tartness.
Unripe banana and lemon peel seems to be the best way to describe what I taste on the body straightup. A bready maltiness takes over bringing pepper and clove, with some sharpness and dryness lingering on the finish.
Not as good as remember...but what beers are! Excellent hefeweizen regardless, not overdone and I think that may just be the key.

Sep 22, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Very aromatic and pleasant smelling beer, lots of yeast and wheat bread dough, bananas, light peach, and a hint of bubblegum. Good frothy starch white head, sadly it mostly dissipates, very cloudy, mostly opaque, dark butter yellow in color. Flavor is rather similar to the aroma (besides the bubblegum part) with the start being a jumble of several different flavors and a bunch of yeast, but then theres an almost tangy bitter earth citrus hop starting in the middle into the finish, which lingers pretty nicely, a good feel overall with a tingling bite. Really, this hefe is quite hard to beat.

Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fruity, with banana and lemon, also clove and other spices. The flavor is very well balanced, with clove and ripe banana. Very nice.

Sep 20, 2008 Updated: Sep 28, 2008draught @ cafe t moortgat, arnhem. i always like a good wheatbeer. this hefeweizen really pleased me. the beer has an cloudy body with an ok head. the aroma is very strong and typically for a wheatbeer. the taste was very full with an good aftertaste. great mouthfeel. enjoyed this one a lot.

Sep 18, 2008 The pour was mostly golden in color and not that cloudy. The head was white and compact with virtually no lacing. The aroma was yeasty, malty and citrusy. The flavor was bright citrus, yeast and thin malt. I liked the yeasty notes, made it taste not so standard. The mouthfeel was above average for the style, the finish was average. Enjoyable.

Sep 17, 2008 I have tried most of the German Hefe-Weizens out there that I can find and this definitely in the top two, if not the best one in the world. The aroma is great, the appearance perfect and the taste is nice smooth wheat flavour with a hint of banana/fruit. Definitely my favourity beer so far!
