Commercial Description:
Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

50 cl bottle. Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Hazy yellowish color, fine white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, spices and yeast. Flavor is the same. Nice weissbier, but not as fantastic as the score indicates.

Poured from a 500ml bottle and served in a weizen glass. This beer poured a cloudy golden orange hue with a thick head of slowly fading white fizz. A small amount of slippery lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of flaked wheat, ripe bananas, and a stong note of spicy clove. The flavor consisted of mild banana and some lightly spicy yeast. Everything that the nose displayed seemed muted or toned down a notch. The mouthfeel was crisp and light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Refreshing and highly drinkable, but as far as hefes go, this was pretty average.

Draft beer. Wheat, with light banana. Beautiful cloudy yellow color with a good head. Great taste, but I don’t have a good way of describing it. One of the best hefes I’ve had!

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki on 2008-08-21) Orange colour with hints of brown. Cloudy. Medium-sized head that disappeared quickly. Banana and salty liquorice in nose. Full-bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Banana, salty liquorice, sweetness and light bitterness in taste. Nice.

$2.99 500 ml bottle. Yet another tasty hefe. Lots of banana in aroma, nice cloudy appearance. Really easy drinker, the bottle was gone quick. Tastes just like you would want a hefe to taste like. Right up there with Dancing Man, but for the price and ABV, DM has this beat for sure.

500mL bottle purchased from LCBO in Toronto. Pours a perfect wheat beer pour - light cloudy gold with a nice head. Nice aroma - more on the yeasty side than the banana side. The taste follow suit. A bit light, more focus on the yeast and wheat, less on the banana and clove. Some light spiciness associated with the yeast. Overall, slightly on the light side - or have my tastebuds been fried by too many weizenbocks?

Wehenstephaner claims to be the oldest brewery in the world! This beer has a good-sized, but quickly sinking cap. There is a nice aroma of floral hops and a little citrus and wheat. Rich hefe flavor - full wheat and yeast - holds up well without lemon. Tingly carbonation. One mouthful told me that this is a first-rate hefeweizen, and subsequent swallows did not disappoint. I can see that the rest of the ratebeer crowd feels the same way, since this is in the top 1% for the style.
