Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

The body is cloudy and has an old gold or dark golden color with a tall white head on top. The head is thick and foamy, long lasting and makes spotty lacing on the glass. The nose is sweet and full of fruity yeast with notes of banana, bubble gum and wheat malt. There are bready and yeast flavors up front with banana notes and a touch of clove coming through. The finish has pleasant tangy wheat and very mild hop bitterness which give it some dryness. The palate has a refreshing, easy drinking medium body with nice active carbonation and a lively crisp texture.

Tap at Brewdog, Nottingham. Turned to this by way of a "freshener", after a big day on the ale! From what I can read of my notes, it’s cloudy with a thin white head. Spicy. Nutmeg. Clove and banana. Taste is spicy dry. Lively palate. Vague...

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2014 I had the distinct pleasure of enjoying several pints of this on draft from various beachside bars in Tel Aviv. Just relaxing in the Mediterranean sun while sipping on this smooth and flavorful hefeweizen was a sublime experience. Pours a solid hazy golden orange with ridiculously intense lacing, aroma is sweet and complex with orange and banana notes. Flavor is perfect for the style, yeasty banana and citrusy flavors with a wheaty/malty base. Flavor intensity was refreshing, not overpowering, and allowed a range of spices and other accent flavors to show through. Medium-bodied and fresh tasting. Without a doubt the best authentic hefeweizen I have ever encountered. I'm not a huge fan of the style but I can tell objectively this is a superior example.

This is an outstanding hefeweizen. Classic banana notes, great smooth yeast flavour, decent head, sweet, mild and classic german complexity. I could drink loads of this on a hot evening. Brilliant.
