mikkopen (251), Oulu, Finland Jun 13, 2008 500 ml bottle. Hazy dark yellow, big foamy white head. Yeast and malts in the aroma, with some banana and notes of citrus. Medium-bodied mouthfeel. Spicy flavour of yeast and wheat, some banana as well. I’m not a great fan of hefeweizens, but this one is very pleasant and refreshing. det2nj (31), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jun 11, 2008 Was served with lemon at Ashley’s in Ann Arbor (although I didn’t ask). Overall, quite good, and par for the course among higher-quality German hefeweiss beers. Banana and yeast for sure, but didn’t pick up too much clove. Maddog (231), Kettering, Ohio, USA Jun 11, 2008 Pours a nice cloudy amber with a creamy white head. Love German Hefes and this one rates pretty high in my book. Refreshing, with slight banana and strong clove and yeast flavors. I could drinks many, many of these in the summer on my patio. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jun 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with gigantic pillowy white head that. Aroma is yeast, hint of banana, wheat. Taste is wheat, bit of spice, banana and bubblegum. Finishes with a clean taste of wheat and spice. Masterful example of the style, one of my favorites. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jun 9, 2008 Bottle pours hazy yellow with a head that rapidly diminishes. The aroma is of yeast and light malt. The taste is light, a bit of what and just a hint of spice. There is almost an oily mouth feel to this one. rwgould (58), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 0.5l bottle. Aroma is typically hefeweizen. Yeast and wheat and banana. Pours a cloudy orange-brown with a moderate head. Palate is smooth. Flavour is nice and not overpowering. Notes of cloves, banana, wheat. Hmm. Perfect for this brutally hot day. wilderthanyou (411), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 Pours a cloudy darky yellow with a BIG foamy head. The aroma is straight up wheat and yeast, with some light citrusy notes. The flavour is spicey, and fruity with a standard banana flavour finish. A damn refreshing beer, and the foamy mouthfeel is bang on. Goes damn good with some fresh beef jerky. yumyum (118), barrie, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 if you are in the mood for a nice wheat beer then this one fits the bill.
