Pours a nice yellow color, lasting head. Wonderful aromas of banana and citrus. Flavors of banana, also vanilla. Recommend this to anyone looking for a refreshing beer. Wonderful straignt forward flavor dominated by CLOVE, clove and more CLOVE. If you don’t like clove, you won’t like this bier... except that I don’t like clove but love this bier... it’s that good. Flavor lacks complexity, has a good wheat base. Awesome mouthfeel, lively but not watery at all. Overall an exceptional southern German wheat bier. Excellent example of style. Soft round taste leaves a feeling of summer oin the cornfields. Best weissbier I ever tasted. SvendNielsen (11), Denmark

I detected less banana and general sweetness than in others of the style. Love the creamy, low fizz texture. Nice, but maybe it would have been better if fresher, or an a hotter day. changeup45 (788), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2008 Updated: Apr 16, 2009Pours a bright golden color with a huge, long-lasting, fluffy head. Aroma is light citrusy fruits, yeasty, with some malt. The beer looks good and also tastes good. The flavor is bananas, cloves, with some wheaty malts, perhaps a touch grassy, with some spices as well. Light and refreshing but a well-rounded hefe. If this isn’t the best hefe I’ve ever had it’s definitely close! Re-rate 4/16/09. Golden color, huge fluffy head, nice retention. Mostly same banana/clovey flavors, creamy and spices on the palate, light and refreshing. Not quite as good as initial review but damn good and one of the best hefe’s around. hoptimus (50), Grand Island, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 15, 2008 Updated: May 19, 2008500 ml bottle. Poured into a weizen. Pours a cloudy straw color with a huge white head that dissipates quickly. Very nice looking in my weizen glass. A very light, refreshing treat that is heavy on the banana and clove character. Medium bodied. No bitterness present. Has a very clean finish. Best hefe that I have tried so far, but I like the weihenstephaner hefe dark a bit better. I have become a fan of this brewer. Update...Having another one of these and it[s even better than the last time. The ideal hefe. dmtroyer (409), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2008 500ml. Pours hazy dark orange with a pillowy, lavish white head that never goes away. The nose is possibly the only weak point of this beer, I get mostly straw and wet grass. Body flavors include lemon rind, banana, grass, coconut. Palate is easily the winner hear with a fine carbonation but palate coating viscosity that carries the finish on for quite some time. A great beer.
