Notes of banana and spice made this a delight for the palate. Definitely not a one dimensional beer as has been my experience with so many other hefeweizens. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA

Pours a gorgeous cloudy medium buttery amber with a towering fluffy platinum blonde head. Intermittent starry lacing persists, along with a little dab of head. Mild banana nose. Medium body with soft carb. You can pick up cloves in there...mostly because you know they’re appropriate to the style. The flavor here is pretty battered from all its time in transit and the rigors of the journey. taunusmies (276), Finland

However, one of the finest weissbiers that I have had a privilege to taste. Pours hazy and golden with a huge foamy head. Taste is malty, sweet, aromatic and citrusy. Hail to the Germans. guyinchicago (526), marengo, Illinois, USA

Smells the most like actual bananas that I’ve come across. Lots of dusty yeast in the aroma too. Not very hazy pour, kinda like a golden pilsner with a giant creamy froth white head. Definite sour grassiness with fruity, dried banana, and yeast notes. Find it really similar to the Paulaner hefe. Sweet and sour banana & spice aftertaste. Filling body, despite the lively carbonation it feels a little flat and disconnected. There are many smoother hefe’s out there. Definitely not the end-all be-all of hefe’s. maniac4016 (114), bill clinton, Iceland

Aroma is amazing with some banana, orange peel, wheat, and nutmeg notes coming through. Medium bodied mouth feel. Spiced-up citrus wheat flavors pound the taste buds and not one time do they yield. I’ve definitely garnered a newfound appreciation for this style. Very good. RSRIZZO (1363), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Aroma is yeasty with esters of banana and coriander. Color is a hazy orange yellow with very good carbonation and a big thick head. Taste is light and fruity. Starting with medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish comes on with a fruity yeast flavor and a mellow citrus taste then ends with a faint banana and coriander flavor and a gentle bitterness. After taste is clean with the citrus taste riding out the longest. This is one of the best Hefeweizens I nave ever had.
