COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

A beer that I’ve claimed over the past few years as one of my top ten favorites, tonight’s beer is the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. Brewed in Bavaria, Germany, Weihenstephan’s label states that it’s the oldest brewery in the world. Records date back to the year 768 with documents mentioning a hop garden, but the brewery was officially licensed in 1040. The 17oz bottle pours at a clear burnt-amber color, with a nice thick ivory white foam on top. The foam lingers for several minutes, and leaves behind a mild lacing as it recedes. The aromas are bright and distinct, with plenty of lemon, orange peel, banana, and spices. I absolutely love the aromas on this little Hefeweiss! On the palate, the Weihenstephaner is flavorful and complex, yet so incredible easy to drink! The citrus and banana is right up front in my mouth, but not far behind is the spice and just a touch of alcohol. This is an absolutely delicious brew that I highly recommend for anyone who ever considered those mediocre mass-produced imitations.

On tap at Søernes Ølbar, Copenhagen. Cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Nice aroma with wheat, yeast, fruity (banana) with notes of spices (coriander maybe?). Strong bitterness, with a hint of acidity. Round palate turning slightly sweet in the aftertaste.

Splendida weiss, giallo paglierino torbido con una persistente schiuma bianca. Profumo dolce di banana, al palato perfettamente bilanciata, nel complesso dolce ma senza esagerare. Carbonazione vivace.

Aroma: Vanilla, wheat, banana, hops Appearance: Yellow (dark,) some haze Taste: Wheat, banana, vanilla, similar to the aroma, sweet with a touch of bitterness Palate: Silky smooth, so drinkable I’d drink this daily if I wasn’t so lazy and if I wanted something not super alcoholic. Also, they are right, it does go with Weisswurst, thank you local German pork store.

0,50 bottle purchased at the Beerville store in Belgrade-Serbia. Ciao Vlada. Pours completely cloudy orange skin color, very intense with a medium white cap. Nose: pretty much an yeasty orientation covered by peers and banana. Some flowers too. Mouth: perfect carbonation balanced and frizzy just in the aftertaste. Banana, melon, fruit salad with a balanced sweet accent. A very tasty German Weiss. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Probably the best Weizen. Great appearance. Fresh, refreshing and very intensive taste and aroma of banana.

Draft at cerveteca bar in Lisbon. It pours a cloudy yellow colour with a very thick and large white head that lasts very well. Aroma is of strong banana, wheat, lots of cloves and sweet candy feel. Taste is banana, some tartness, overall sweet and spicy, wheat and some yeast. It has a medium body, medium carbonation and a crisp and refreshing feel. Definitely the best hefeweizen I’ve tasted in my life. I will for certain drink more of this in the upcoming summer.

On tap. Pours cloudy yellow. Banana aroma, sweet. Crisp taste, mostly banana again, nicely tart and dry. Extremely refreshing.
