tbarnette (105), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Mar 27, 2005 The beer pours cloudy with a nice thick head. I have to admit I didn’t like it at first. It had an aftertaste I couldn’t put my finger on. After reading a few reviews, it was apparent that that is banana, and somehow that made me like it just a bit more.. (I guess it makes me feel better to go mmmm... banana, instead of hmmmm... what the hell is that?)
mkel07 (28), Brisbane, Australia Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured with a wonderfully thick creamy head. Cloudy and hazy amber colour- great taste with a fruity aroma. BlackForestCO (629), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a thick, rocky white head that diminished slowly to a thick layer. Aroma of lemons, banana, wheat, clove, and some light yeastiness. Tart, crisp entry with some lemon and wheat transitions into a soft banana and clove spiciness, followed by soft apricot paired with some doughy yeast. Crisp finish. Low carbonation, but the wheat provides a nice bite to complement the flavor. Very nice, refreshing beer. lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 20, 2008 Cloudy orange body with three pretty fingers of puffy lumpy white head that falls at the edges leaving a nice dome of lasting foam. Strong yeasty clove spice aroma and bananas. Taste is smooth and sweet bubblegum, wheaty body, pear and bananas. FriarHop (15), Brooklyn, Alabama, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy/dirty amber, nice lasting head. Sweet bubblegum, light fruity aroma. My favorite (so far) hefeweizen! floydian1 (10), FNQ, Australia Nov 2, 2008 Bottle (expiry date 2/09). Cloudy golden colour with an ample foamy head. Classic bubblegum and banana aroma. Tingling fruity chewy palate with a clean neutral finish. A top class Bavarian wheat beer.
