Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier

An unclear dark yellow beer with an OK head. The aroma is slightly wheaty and slightly citrus. The flavor is wheaty, round and very nice.

(B0ttle 50 cl) Deep golden colour and a gigantic head. Aromas of yeast and fruit. Very fresh with lots of fruit esters and a very dry finish. 240800

Dark yellow and very hazy. Big ester and vanilla aroma. Very smooth, with wheat and banana flavour. One of my favourite summer thirst quenchers.

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is mild wheaty with a light yeasty note. Flavour is dry wheaty with a light phenol note and mild banana fruity yeast flavours. Ends mild fruity with a light dry wheat flavour lingering into the finish.

Bottle. Deep gold color, pours a hazy. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruit estery and wheaty. A medium bodied Hefe. Malts are wheaty and fruity with lots of banana and clove flavors. Slightly sweet tasting with some peppers and spices. Light and refreshing. Nice soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Smooth taste. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottled. Cloudy orange with huge white head. Fruity cooked banana aroma with hints of citrus and yeast. Sweet cooked banana in taste along with hints of yeast. Wellbalanced and not as sweet as Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier.

Bottle. Nice, wheaty and spicy aroma. Very big, semi-stable white head. Cloudy golden colour. Very spicy flavour balanced nicely by the mild wheat and OK bitter finish. Needs to be fresh, though.

Bottled at DBF 2005. Unclear golden colored with a white head. Sweet aroma of bananas with notes of spices and yeast. Flavour of bananas, spices and yeast with acidic notes.
