Scubatrip (313), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Apr 18, 2008 From the bottle, pours a hazy light orangish with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is not overpowering, but has lightly distictive notes of banana and yeast, as would be expected. Thicker than many heffies, smooth and malty without losing touch with the cloves, yeast, and light banana that the hefe is known for. A fine beer.
scoth (10), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Aug 30, 2008 Pours pale yellow, slightly cloudy, big, dense head. Lacing that clings thickly to the side of the glass. Strong aroma of lemon and banana. Thin but rich body, a little dry. Well balanced taste, slightly sweet, very subtle, some banana and wheat, but other flavors are hard to pick out. A very mild hop aftertaste. zvikar (12), , Israel Aug 30, 2008 From tap, Great orange-honey color, stronge aroma of apple & banana, nice flavour of banana & clove, well balanced, liked it very much. jujubeast6000 (480), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 30, 2008 (bottle): Pours a cloudy yellow body. Huge foamy white head,.creamy & lasting. Some fruity esters, some spice like clove. Some heaviness in the aroma. Fruity banana-like taste. Somewhat watery, but definately not weak. tarjei (1154), Bryne, Norway Aug 29, 2008 50 cl bottle. Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Hazy yellowish color, fine white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, spices and yeast. Flavor is the same. Nice weissbier, but not as fantastic as the score indicates. mdm46410 (554), Griffith, Indiana, USA Aug 28, 2008 Poured from a 500ml bottle and served in a weizen glass. This beer poured a cloudy golden orange hue with a thick head of slowly fading white fizz. A small amount of slippery lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of flaked wheat, ripe bananas, and a stong note of spicy clove. The flavor consisted of mild banana and some lightly spicy yeast. Everything that the nose displayed seemed muted or toned down a notch. The mouthfeel was crisp and light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Refreshing and highly drinkable, but as far as hefes go, this was pretty average.
