Pours nice, nice head and color. Nice malty wheaty mouthfeel. Good overall balance. Also pairs nicely with smoked ham and potato salad. (just thought I'd through that in) HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA

The taste has hints of banana and a tangy clove. When tasted side by side with four other wheat beeers, this was the best. No lemon needed. GreatStelle (360), Chico, California, USA

Hazy golden yellow body with a good sized white head. Yeasty lightly estery aroma, muted touch of alcohol is quite pleasant. (7+) Flavour is moderate, but complex. Sweet underlying pale malt, yeasty weiss esters, touches of banana and spice. Smooth medium bodied palate suits it wonderfully. Just really nice.

<P>November 2004. Bottle. Hazy golden body, nice big fluffy white head. Touch of spicey clove in the aroma, small notes of banana esters. Pleasantly effervescent palate is rather nice. Flavour has some clove, though it is slightly muted from the aroma, and a pleasant wheaty tartness throughout. Thanks M&J for bringing this back from NYC. I have now had the top 3 rated wheat bers as of right now, yay me! 7/4/7/4/17 - 3.9 KBeer (117), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours a large and quite lasting, cloudy and lacy head. Yeasty and sweet banana-strawberry aroma - smells strongly like sahti when pouring, but fades quickly. Sweetish banana flavor with perfectly balanced, crisp acidity and a sourish finish. No bitterness at all. Very smooth and slicky-yeasty, medium to full-bodied, quite carbonated palate. Very refreshing and enjoyable, and one of the world’s very best hefeweizens! beerhugger (541), Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

This beer with a cloudy mocha golden body, topped by a big thick white head, released all the expected hefe aromas quite nicely - banana, yeast, cloves all balanced nicely. Then a creamy mouthful refreshed the mouth and was a great accompaniment to a late night bite to eat. Slightly tangy citrus flavour lingered. Nice.
