On draft at the Beerfestival at Viersen Germany. A nice Hefeweizen. One of the better beers of that day

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had on tap at Prader biergarten, Berlin, Germany.
A= beautiful light California Poppy orange with three fingers of billowed head that only falls as more of it stays attached to my lips because I can´t seem to let this one too far from my mouth. Cobweb lacing.
S= Banana, clove, yeast, grain, wheat tartar. This can be smelled from the table just sitting here, potent and awesome. There´s a certain dry sweetness to the smell I struggle to really put my finger on, but it´s there, and I like it.
T= Nice, spicy wheat nips at the palate as the sweet and earthz yeast comes through and plays a strong part. Finish is a bit sour, but otherwise perfect.
M= Creamy, lively carbonation. Finish feel is long lasting and salivating. Nice.
O= I´ve been waiting to review this beer because it´s not particularly easy to get in my area. Just so happens it was the first beer I had in Germany, and the right one to have at that. This beer deserves to be as high as it is on the Fame list.
Serving type: on-tap

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The trees blurred past my face and although there were many loud sounds from the streets and surroundings I could only hear the pounding of my alligator skin shoes pounding the concrete sidewalk. As I ran, I gasped for air and cried and my gold mascara ran down my cheeks but I did not stop until I tripped on an uneven sidewalk block and fell, my near naked body skidding over the dry walkway until I rolled onto the grassy shoulder of University st.
I rolled my soft supple body over so I looked up at the street lamp which I had fallen towards with outstretched hands in an attempt to recover my balance. Above me, I saw the outline of a person wearing a tight leather suit. Thinking I was about to be imprisoned in a sex dungeon, I scrambled to fish out my whistle from my ane ane. Instead, he pulled my up by the elastic band of my speedo, and canted his head sideways making a kissing sound. I could not see his face through the leather mask, but I knew he meant business. Tatooed across his bare chest was what I presumed was his name, ‘The Beer Sommelier ’.
Before I knew it, a Jeep Wrangler speed through the bushes and crashed into a wall, blaring out “Ramstein” out of it’s bose speaker system. He began to pour hot caramel over me, and German school children sang out an epic chorus as he pulled out a sharp fallic object towards my shiny ane and I knew it was the end. I closed my eyes, but heard a thunk. I opened my eyes to see The Beer Sommelier lying dead at my feet with a can of Weighenstephaner by his bloody head. I looked around, bewildered, in the distance. I saw a shadow move atop the pizza pizza shop. I did 16 back flips on the stop to send a ‘thank you’ signal. I waited.
I knelt down, cracked open the beer, pouring it into the Sommelier’s vacuum device as a glass. A thin finger of white head; I sniffed, looking around nervously and noted a slight grassy aroma. Thick golden caramel in appearance, I thought, ‘what the hey!’ and guzzled. It was rich in the mouth with a strong hoppy front, not an unpleasant aftertaste, quite refreshing. Jesus, my mouth began salivating from the boldness of the flavour and I giggled nervously. Just then, a figure hovered down to me slowly, his pink cape fluttering in the wind.
“It was you, you hit the Queer Sommelier in the head with your can and saved me from certain ane carnage!” He looked at my strongly, and said in a deep voice, “There are many looking over you Scott. I am just one.” His spandex shirt fitted tightly to his chest, and had a big ‘R’ on it. “What does the R stand for?” I asked. He smiled, “The name is Ron.” He then passed gas, slapped his stomach 3 times, and then ordered take out on his phone before sommersaulting away undramatically. My name is Scott Purchase and I recommend this biere.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma bem marcante da banana e do cravo, levemente alaranjada e turva. No sabor, presença da banana, do cravo, leve traço do álcool e oxidação, paladar mais lupulado que as outras weizenbiers. Recomendo.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared a 500ml bottle from Marhun (Darmstadt). Pours a hazy yellow colour with a nice white head. Aroma has yeast, lightly banana and bubble gum. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste light bitter, light sweet with some spice notes and a dry finish. Overall, a very good Weiss that I certainly will drink again.

It’s the only alternative from the tap to the bland Forst Kronen in my favorite bar, and it’s a great one. One of the best hefe weiss available, with all the things done right (the banana aroma, very refreshing, etc.) but I drink too much of this to write anything serious about it.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hyvin samean värinen vehnäolut, joka muodosti pysyvän vaahdon. Tuoksussa hieman makeutta. Oikein maukas vehnäolut, joka on varsin tasapainoinen. Ei liian raskas, mutta toisaalta maku on varsin miellyttävä ja riittävän voimakas. Perusvarma erinomainen vehnä.

Such a good wheat beer. This is my benchmark for the style. Great banana, cinnamon & nutmeg flavours and so creamy tasting.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours cloudy gold with foamy white head. Taste sweet, banana, refreshing. I thought this was very good. I would definitely drink this again.
