Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

Itís been a long time coming for this one. At one time German Hefeweizen was my absolute favourite style and I was dying to be to try this. It was not available in my area until recently. Iím not going to bore you or myself with the obvious. For instance it possess all the natural characteristics of quality German Hefe. Itís got the banana and corriander bouquet. Noticeable lack of "orange" or citrus though. Itís got the cloudy opaque hue. What I do find surprising comes with both the taste and palate. Everything is on point right up until the very end where both taste and mouth feel just drop right off.

Taste is mild, full of wheat, some light fruitiness (apricot?) slightly yeasty, not bitter with only muted hops. Very pleasant and tasty. Pairs well with white cheese, salmon or nuts.

Pours a hazy yellow gold with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is banana, spice, wheat, grain, hay, sweet. Taste is wheat and hay, banana, spice, butter, yeast. Such a fantastically drinkable beer, extremely light yet flavorful, perfect wheat beer for the summer.

Slightly hazy yellow. Foamy anf persistent white head. Classic, but moderate, weissbier aroma, with bananas and tropical fruits. Similar taste. High drinkability, and refreshing for being a weissbier.

Tap. Cloudy, yellow with a small white head. Aroma has banana, yeast and grain. Tate has banana, butter and some hay. A really light wheat beer with a strong banana overtone. Mouthfeel is smooth with a nice aftertaste. An exemplary wheat beer.

Drougt@weihenstephan: very stable white head. Cloudy color. Smell has hay ad yeast. Taste has some herbs and yeast, not much of banana. Good but not outstanding

Bottle at Fado. Not normally my style - but beats all the other Hefeweiss beers I have had. Hazy blonde gold pour with some delicate white foam. Big wheat - only very light toasted notes, but still reads as fuller than one would expect. Green banana. Orange pips. Marshmallows. Has the full flavor of plumped up wheat berries. Tastes like the real thing. Nicely balanced and refreshing.

Bottle, canít remember where from. Quite a light yellowish colour, thick white head. This is a well balanced quaffable wheat beer. A little sweet, fruity, appe, banana, clove spice, modest bitter finish. All sounds like any other weizen which is I guess true and this doesnít challenge the tastebuds with extremity. However, it is perfectly balanced and is I think just nice. I normally prefer my weizens a bit more malty as the lighter ones can feel overly thin and not refreshing, but this does the job extremely well.

I canít believe I havenít rated this one yet... starts with the traditional aroma of wheat, with banana and clove. Pours a hazy light straw with a huge white head. Light wheat, paired with more banana notes. Light bodied, nice and crisp. A great beer to have on a hot summer day.

Nose is pleasingly yeasty with slight clove and coriander. Taste is yeast, bread, slight banana, a little peach in the finish. The finish is short, itís a wll balanced drink.
