4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, - SEP 14, 2008UPDATED: NOV 4, 2011 500 ml bottle in Germany from Wasanas. When this is poured I dont see a beer but a blond women in a golden dress. Probably one of the best German Hefe-Weizen there is. Nice banana aroma. Like most good hefe-weizens they are one of the few beers that is better in the bottle than from the tap. 04/11/11 I think that there has been a change in this been over the years although still a great beer it has slipped somewhat.

Slightly cloudy with small head. Good floral accents with a tasty caramel undertones resulting in a very drinkable beer
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 M_Sack (20) - - MAY 13, 2013
Cloudy, light straw with frothy head when poured from bottle into the glass. Banana, bubble gum and baking bread aromas. A touch of sweetness initially which leads into a yeasty and only gently bitter mid and back palate. Only lightly carbonated. All of this leads to an incredibly refreshing beer.

Was shocked to realize that I had never rated this classic. Several years ago, I stated that the stringent German beer laws resulted in uniformly boring beers. I cringe thinking about this idiotic statementt. This beer pours a hazy yellow with a massive head. Smells of spice. The vibrancy of the mouthfeel might trick a drinker into thinking this beer was spiced. Flavors of bananas and citrus. A great beer. A perfect go to when you feel like grabbing the devil you know. Bottle - Intown Market - Atlanta, GA

500 ml bottle. Golden, a little foggy, with a minimal head. Aroma with banana, close to pinapple. No yeast taste. Somewhat sweet. Body rather thin. Refreshing and almost enjoyable, since I normally don’t like Weissbier.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 OKplus (355) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 7, 2013
A - Bright white 3 finger head that retains very well. Thick splotches of lacing.
S - Savory banana, clove, wheat.
T - Follows the nose except the spice is muted. Banana with plenty of dry peppery wheat. Bubblegum and melon come in to play. Finishes with a creamy spice flavor.
M - Full body. Prickly carbonation.
Very solid for the style. One of the best for sure.
